Are there a good number of Yalies on Wall Street? What kind of jobs do they get on Wall Street? What are some popular majors for those who attend Yale and want to work on Wall Street?

There are a decent number of Yale alums on Wall Street - but I don’t think their tier representation is as high as Harvard and Wharton. It’s not that WS dislikes Yale, but a lot of Yalies typically go into government, rather than going into WS. (Apparently the Agency recruits a ton of people out of Yale, but that’s just speculation).

I can give anecdotal info, but no “numbers” or data that represents anything.

My D’s MD is a Yale grad. Two close friend she made last summer interning at the BB she is now working for were Yale students.

The data from her internships from the last two summers (at 2 different BBs), and now her analyst class, shows most of the students are from a mix of the expected top schools with occasional surprises thrown in.

So if you are worrying about getting a shot from Yale, don’t. Yale is a target school. Then you have to get a very high GPA. Interesting extra-curricular activities or minor studies can help, but will not get you the interview, internship or job offer.

The agency? Lol you mean the CIA? That’d be f****** sick, too bad im going to Princeton…does the agency recruit there as well?

Nobody knows where or when the agency recruits. All they know is they recruit. They may be recruiting your right now, without you even knowing it. duh duh duh!
After all, the first rule of the agency is to not talk about the agency. I hope they aren’t reading this!

it’s nothing so secret

they hold campus presentations for the various intelligence community agencies

“They may be recruiting your right now, without you even knowing it. duh duh duh!”

Roffle.

haha, thats funny- but yes Yale does not have that much representation on wall street but as people said because of interests. Several super good schools like Hopkins lack WS representation too, but are exceptional for other interests. Decent schools like NYU have significant numbers of students heading to WS

It’s just unusual that a high percentage of CIA Directors are Yale Alumns

^conspiracy theory?
