I understand that Yale does not have a beautiful beach (i mean, cmon rocky beaches aint beautiful beaches) (i may be wrong but thts my stereotype of New England coastlines). But i knw Yales got money.

So does Yale provide facilities for jet skiing, water boarding, water polo, kayaking etc.? Or am i wrong and Yale does have beaches that pale people can tan on?

I take that as a no. No kayaks, jet skiis, water polo etc.

why must everybody answer my questions with such contempt? My mom always said, if you have nothing good to say, then dont say it. Apparently some of u mamas out there wr nevr taught tht.

Are yale undergrads a liberal, politically left Pelosi-loving group? Or r they dead-on conservative, right-flank, Cheney enthusiasts? I knw thr is diversity at Yale and all that baloney, but is there any political tilt?

harvardlite, I think you are getting the reactions you are because your questions seem very odd. Have you done any basic research about Yale? Looked at its website? Read prior threads here?

HL: once admitted, I’m sure there will be plenty of people at Bulldog Days and the various facebook groups that get started for admitted students – who will do their best to answer all your questions. Once admitted, Yale will do everything in its power to woo those lucky few.

Maybe keep your curiosity in check until then?

In all reality though, a question about water skis and kayaks off the Long Island sound is pretty wacky for those of us who have been out there. Excuse the “he said what?” kinda response – but it’d be difficult to expect otherwise.

Alright thn. Fair enough. God willing, I will be admitted. I wont ask any more questions till April 1, if i get accepted. but after that, if i do get accepted, i hereby have the right to ask any question that i deem reasonable enough to be asked

^alrighty then, i have nothing better to do anyways…

(very openended q) what does new haven offer to yale that yale does not already have?

REMEMBER: This is a question about Yale undergrad PROFESSORs.

Politically, Yale undergrads, as i have heard from other threads, are liberal-leaning. What about the undergraduate professors? Are they to any tilt? Are they random? Are they the corporate backbone of America? Are they Dick Cheney gun righters that want freedom whereever there is oil? Or they socialized publlic option Marxist enthusiasts?

Honestly, New Haven isn’t that great. It’s a small city, so it has the benefits and negatives of other small cities. Some Yale students interact with New Haven a lot, and others, hardly at all.

Most of the professors at private colleges in the Northeast are going to tend liberal in their political views.

Community service is one example. Some people also use some recreational activities (biking, visiting parks, etc.), and I guess some go to non-Yale concerts, clubs, etc. But I think, in general, Yale is a more insular campus than, say, Harvard. That’s both good and bad. The good is that there’s always a lot going on on campus.

As a Yale student, you have access to many different Yale publications. Is it relatively easy to get your opinion article published? For the sake of discussion, let’s say this article is about US education legislation and is your opinion on it.

???So the question is, if you have a writing document that you want published, is it easy to get it published through a Yale venue as a Yale undergraduate student???
