Yale University Early Action for Fall 2023 Admission

Does anyone take these findings seriously? If the person with low scores is claiming they got in, good for them. If they are lying, they are ones who look stupid. Doesn’t change anything for anyone. Read it, congratulate them and move on!

Deferred.

Congrats to those heading to New Haven and those headed elsewhere.

Looks like we’re likely headed to UGA. From Bulldog to Dawg in the blink of an eye. Athens is calling.

Good luck to those continuing to chase the dream wherever it leads you.

If you are talking towns, I’d take Athens over New Haven, just sayin’. What significant and mind-blowing independent music ever came out of New Haven ffs.

Accepted! And I was one of the people who got an additional FA request this past week

A bittersweet moment but no regrets. Yale is Yale, but UGA is a fantastic school, Athens a great college town, and the weather is soooo much better. We’d have given all that up for Yale, but we are quite happy nonetheless.

Both are Bulldogs! Blue & Red.

UGA is where my D23 would be very happy! We got to appreciate UGA’s transparency and follow up in the past weeks. They are showing a lot of love to their accepted students.

So many great schools out there. I know there is much disappointment tonight, but everyone on this board will find their perfect place. This is just the beginning.

I’m a professor. I went to LSU for undergrad. Don’t remember much (tehehe), but I did go to a top, R1 private university for my Ph.D. and feel pretty dang successful. Before that, worked for Fortune 50 company and a top U.S. firm. I’m a woman and a URM in my field. Hard slog, but UG didn’t matter all that much. Networks, passion, authenticity, and enthusiasm. I tell my DD2023 that where you go to UG is not as important as long as you are happy and healthy and give it your all; and make some fast friends along the way, the most important friend being–you.

Denied. onward and upward.

ETA: talented high stats URM get denied and hope that helps with perception that the URM hook = lesser or unqualified. All those who got in or deferred are super talented and very worth their spot.

Not to say those who do not are not worthy just didn’t make the cut. Congrats to all who got in and Good luck to the deferred and other decisions this brutal app season!
