it doesn’t appear on the financial aid portal. It was in an email from the FA office. I think it’s just a reference number for FA, whereas your application reference number, that appears on the portal, is for the admissions. So, it’s just part of the application process. It probably means nothing.
I thought all the students who got an email with the SID that started off like 92 etc were accepted during early round- so maybe your DD got accepted. It just seems very early in the RD round for them to have made decisions at end of January without everyone’s mid year reports sent yet and in the midst of interviews. But I recall in an earlier post you said she played an instrument so maybe she’s in.
I agree with you. It seems way too early for them to have made any decisions. So, maybe this SID theory isn’t true after all.
I highly doubt any final decisions have been made on RD acceptances prior to likely letters going out in the next few weeks (rejects yes) as the interviewing process is still on-going. The last batch of interview requests will be around Feb 15.
When did your daughter get the SID email? Was it during the REA timeline or the RD timeline?
RD round., so it probably doesn’t mean anything.
Never know- per @bigbluebelugawhale posts, he said that everyone he knows who got the email with the SID starting 92 something got in so she may as well have gotten in, maybe the music Dept said accept her she meets institutional needs!
she’s not applying for music major, must be someone else
Oh sorry for some reason I thought you had mentioned she sent a music supplement- got confused.
What happens to applicants who did not apply for financial aid? Do they get the SID during the application review period?
Like I said earlier, SID is probably just a reference number for FA. It doesn’t mean anything if you do or don’t get one. Let’s not focus on that. It’s too early for any kind of portal astrology imo
Yes, I know it means nothing. I was just trying to understand the process.

Y’all said you had the missing form appear on your portal for a few days. Same happened to us. Quick question - were you all deferred from SCEA?
Yes
No , rd
No, RD
So, it looks random. So the fact that we had that form appear as missing on the portal doesn’t mean anything
Good luck to everyone.
My F23 was deferred, form appeared and disappeared. She submitted requested info when she first noticed the form on her portal page.
My daughter was accepted but we didn’t turn in financial aid application in time so she’s still waiting to hear about that. The form appeared on her portal as well, but no email alerting her it was there.
My dtr also had the same missing doc request in her portal. We were going to complete it this weekend. When she checked her portal today, the request was gone. Go figure, maybe they found the missing doc’s.
