^ Can't decide

Which one would would be better for me?

well from what everyone knows about you, neither would be, since the only thing people know is that you have no preference.

lol that was a funny post. ok, which one are the students more cheerful/ will get me into a better MBA program. that should do.

I would say the life would be funner (I know it's not a word) at Duke, having visited both. However, academics are better at Yale. But in terms of a fun college experience, Duke is great. Yale might be better just because of name, but hey Duke aint far behind, and being a Cameron Crazie is the best experience (or so I've heard).

I'd go to Yale. But thats because I'm in love with the school.

What do you intend in majoring in?

I would definitely go to Yale.. not even think about it..but hey it's not me that's choosing..

Based on your other threads, don't even consider coming to Duke.

If you dont have a preference, go to Yale, because it's more prestegious and will look better to future employers.

Yale has incredibly happy, cheerful students...it's on Princeton Review's list of the colleges with the happiest undergrads!!! Go Bulldogs :-)

Yale... grad. schools will accept you quicker b/c of Yale's name

Not true.

actually i think maybe it has some truth to it...lol anyway warblers its not unfair to say that you may be a bit biased

Saying that grad schools will pick one applicant over another based on the undergrad school is misleading. If you want to make the point that the best faculty teach at the best schools, I'd agree with you. In that sense, going to a better school will give an applicant a leg up provided (s)he makes contact with said professors. However, merely seeing Yale on a transcript will NOT get one accepted faster than a transcript from Duke or Northwestern. In most cases all the application does is get one an interview. After that, it's up to the applicant to impress them during the interview. Any applicant with a strong background in research who can articulate his/her research interests stands a fighting chance.

Professional schools are, of course, entirely different. If that is what obinnadaone was referring to, then the post should have been more specific.

Lol, while I'm very biased toward Yale, I assume that b/c of Duke's great academic reputation, grad schools will give that a lot of weight too! Yale's not THAT much more prestigious than Duke

You got into Yale and Duke? Really?

Wouldn't you rather go to Stanford, as evidenced in your earlier post?

"I applied to stanford university in palo alto in december and i got a letter few days ago that said that they approve my admission

is it a joke because i thought i had no shot of gettn in i decided to apply the weak before the deadline and wrote my essays in under 2 hours

did anybody else get a letter? my stats aint that good gpa 3.3 and sat 19 something i only do track and field since senior year and was on school gov when i was a freshmen but i think it helped that i'm 1/8 black because i put i was african american and ive also gotten like 20 grand in outside scholarships for doing nothing its really funny because my family is so much richer than the white boys i know

is anyone else gotten in, or was stanford just joking with me?"

Hmmm..that post sounds trollish to me.

It is. The OP was trolling in the Stanford forum, too.
