Thank you! I’m from NY, and it was more than 3 days from when I was first informed (I was told Monday, the 13th, and asked to have a reply by Sunday the 19th). I had previously committed to Princeton, but after visiting Yale…I’ve got a lot of thinking to do in the next 2 days lol

And T26E4 is correct, my admissions councilor told me that there was very limited space and that the offer was only valid until Sunday, so I’d assume they have the waitlist structured so if they don’t yield the total amount of kids the first go, they will look deeper into it for more.

Just got released from the UPenn waiting list. Not much of a surprise as they had already over-exceeded their yield (plus someone got a tip from their regional admissions officer that they still weren’t sure whether they were even going to use their waiting list)

Seriously hope I get off the Yale one now. Duke’s awesome but Yale will be the dream :)

I’m in the same spot as you-committed to Duke and waiting on Yale! I’m also very hopeful for Yale as it was my dream school from junior year. Not to say that Duke isn’t amazing…

That’s awesome! Are you guys on the Duke facebook thread? Kashmoney, send us a private message, and do let us know if you have heard anything from Yale :)

I happened to chance upon this thread. Just wanted all you prospective Dukies to know that I picked Duke over Princeton (and we all know that Princeton is better than Yale lol). Hope that makes you guys feel better ;)

Alphabet or firstgenn, when you log into your Eli account, does it give an option for “Information for Admitted Students?” And if you click on that does it open or give an option for a PDF? If yes, could you please tell us the name of that file. Apparently, last year clicking on the “Information for Admitted Students” button, opened a PDF titled “… Class of 2016 Edited for WL Admits Final.” The “Final” in that filename was the indication that they were done with the WL. Thanks!

It doesn’t necessarily mean that… It just means that they’ve finished editing the document and uploaded the ‘final’ version… I doubt they’d keep editing it until the waitlist is closed

Anyone heard back yet?
What did those of you who had already been taken off the waitlist decide?
Good luck to everyone, this is probably our last chance…

Eh, you’re defining matriculation too narrowly, it doesn’t mean anything more than being enrolled and, technically, you guys are all enrolled (and therefore matriculated) at another school right now

And because I’m on the Princeton waitlist (never applied to Yale, just interested in cross-admit data)

peter1412, did you see any additions on FB or Twitter today? It’s possible that the next round of people might have been contacted today after they got confirmations from the first round yesterday (I think firstgenn said that he/she had until yesterday to accept the WL spot).
