but did you have an excuse for needing to find out early?

what number did you call?

nopes... just said 'i heard ur releasing decisions'

yeah good point which number...nice call transapp07

I just called and they said "it's a moratorium... we can't give you the decision over the phone"

dhh takes one for the team-thank you haha :) i wonder if it could come by 2morrow for me....i live in suburban new york its less than 1.5 hours away drive :/

i wonder why they started giving decisions over the phone and then stopped.
maybe there were initially some loose lips in the admissions office.

probably got tired of answering the phone and stopping what they were doing to give out a decision

oh well... that's too bad.

anyone know how they mail? usps, fedex, dhl?

that's kind of dumb question. hmm bulk rate which is probably less than 39 cents per piece or pay an express company a mint. hmm..

btw I work for FedEx

its not a stupid question.
its a shot in the dark.

recall how columbia mailed acceptances fedex last year, and it was possible to track the letters by recipient address.

Well, then it was stupid to send them FedEx. Unless timing is critical the mail works fine and is cheaper.

Plus, if you live in the country and have a rural route no one but the USPS can find you in most cases.

oh well-rejected...not even disappointed..lol-where is my upenn decision? lol

chemwiz - i'm sorry. how did you find out? phone or mail?

mail...no problem i don't even feel bad about it...after waitlisted at columbia i didn't expect it

although i am hoping for upenn :/...has anyone in the college found out?

rejected....im a lot more upset than i thought i would be.
anyone been accepted?

tell you next week..

now i'll have to wait until monday for my acceptance

transferapp007, I'm a transfer too (international) and found out about my acceptance this morning via email. I still can't believe it! God, this is so weird, a couple of hours ago I wasn't really sure about even staying in the states and now this. It's like my whole life changed within the blink of a day (not a legacy, not rich by a faaaar faaaar shot, didn't even give a crap about school until two years ago).

The anti-climax was calling my mother up long-distance call and realize she doesn't even know what Yale is :[

Oh well. I'm happy!
