I was on restaurant.com for certificates to use for parents weekend, and I saw one for Chandler’s Restaurant in South Deerfield in Yankee Candle Village? Is this something worth going the 20 minutes over to? Have any of you been to this particular restaurant? Is the whole Bavarian Village thing worth going to? Thanks.

We didn’t eat there, but went and bought some candles (quite frankly, no cheaper than usual.) It was picturesque and interesting. I would go again. It was incredible to see ALL the people there and the rent-a-cops directing traffic to parking spots and the the buses (numerous) unloading shoppers, etc. D and I had a good time.

Can’t speak to the restaurant, but I wouldn’t recommend the Yankee Candle Village. It’s essentially an overly scented and decorated Disneyland. Not quite my scene, but if you’re looking for holiday knickknacks (or candles, I suppose), it might be worth the drive.

We went there a few years back, and did eat at the restaurant. Our kids were maybe 12 and 5, though I am not sure. They had fun making their own candles. I don’t rememember anything in particular about the restaurant, except the decor…don’t think that is a bad thing, just not remarkable enough to recall
