Yeah I need help with Math 2.

<p>I got a 570 with a rank of 24%. I used the barrons to study, and I guess the book ****ed me over. What book should I use to study for this test?</p>

<p>Princeton Review’s practice tests are quite accurate.</p>

<p>Most of these test prep books are only good/easily used if you already have learned the material and have somewhat of a firm grasp on it. If you are missing questions because you really don’t know the material, then i’m not sure any test prep book would help you get your score up to where you want it to be. If you are retaking it in Oct. or later, I would suggest actually using a textbook to study as it will better teach you the material.</p>

<p>Why do people make getting an 800 look so easy? I feel so bad after getting 620 (39th percentile) now. -___- </p>

<p>Hopefully the test is easy for me by October. Will preparing for the Math 2 test over the summer help me at all to get ready for Calculus next year?</p>

<p>If you know the Math Level 2 material well, you have essentially all the foundation you need for AP Calculus.</p>

<p>Pure numbers wise, sure, but I would think that percent wise some of the lanugage exams would beat it out and Physics comes pretty close. I don’t think it’s that the Math II test is inherently easier to get an 800 on, merely that people in the nation are just better at math than language or physics. What do you think?</p>

<p>Percentile-wise, some language exams may appear easier. The test-taking populations for those exams are highly self-selecting, however. As for Physics, fewer than 4,000 received 800.</p>

<p>oh i don’t think the language exams are easier and that was kind of my point. Despite the large percentage of kids getting an 800, I would by no means say that Chinese is an easy exam…and I think the same of Math II.</p>

<p>Math II is hard. I underestimated it. I’m going through barrons. Conic sections, probability, and some random formulas are tripping me up</p>

<p>^ On the May test, I don’t recall any conic section questions, and the probability questions were very straightforward and could be solved logically. (Surprisingly, however, the ACT Math section had conic sections!)</p>

<p>Well silverturtle, I guess that’s what people mean when they say “after doing barrons, the real test was a breeze.”</p>

<p>The probability is pretty tricky in barrons. Barrons isn’t the greatest teacher either (I consider PR to be the best)</p>
