<p>So I made one of these a while back, and since I'm pretty bored and it's getting to that college app time, it's time for a new chance thread :D</p>

<p>So my top choices are as follows:
1. UPenn Huntsman/Harvard (hard to decide, but I'm leaning towards going ED for Huntsman since Harvard is so selective)
2. Yale
3. UChicago
4. Stanford/Princeton/Columbia</p>

<p>I'll also be applying to UW and CMU as my safeties, since I'll be instate for UW and I have legacy (I think; my dad did his doctorate there) at CMU. Of course I'll be applying to others as well, but these are the main ones.</p>

<p>Gender: Male
Ethnicity:Chinese/Mongolian
Unweighted GPA: 3.9X
Weighted GPA: IDK I know it's 4.X on a 5.0 scale</p>

<p>SAT: 2350 (CR:800 M:780 W:770) </p>

<p>ACT: Not Taken</p>

<p>SAT Subject: 800 World, 800 Math II, 790 Chem, 780 US</p>

<p>AP Scores:
10th: World History-5, Physics B-4,
11th: Calculus BC-5, US History-5, Physics C Mechanics-5, Language-5, Chemistry-4</p>

<p>PSAT: 240 so I'm probably getting National Merit</p>

<p>Rank: Top 1% or 2%</p>

<p>Intended Major: International Relations, Finance
I'm a junior in Bellevue, Washington (near Seattle). Both my parents have graduate degrees, though both are immigrants from China. I'm a US citizen by birth.</p>

<p>My schedule for this coming year (senior) is:
AP American Government (my school doesn't offer comp :()

Photo/Comp Graphics
Advanced Calculus (I think this would be Calc 2)

AP Micro/Macro Economics</p>

<p>EC:
200+ hours of community service with an unpaid internship over 2 (going to be 3) years. I'm opting for a paid position with the same organization this year

Chess Club: President
Knowledge Bowl: President
Piano: I'm terrible
I'm also in the process of founding a Chinese Language and Culture club at my school with some friends. Although it seems like a really stereotypical resume booster club for Asians, that wasn't really our intent with this project.</p>

<p>You’re credentials look really good; you are definitely qualified for those schools. It’s really hard to predict admissions to the ivy league/schools of the caliber on your list. you have a good chance. At this point, it will be up to your essays and teacher recommendations.</p>

<p>Update, I’m defiitely going to do SCEA for Yale after doing their Ivy Scholars program. I spen some time working with some Yale professors and students, and I really enjoyed it, so feel like I have a lot to say when it comes to explaining why I want to go there.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars are probably too weak for the ivies.</p>
