Hi. I just got my ssat scores today and am trying to get some opinions on them. Scores: verbal:99 math:81 reading:99 overall:99
schools I'm applying to are SPS, Exeter, Groton, and Holderness
Thanks!

Many boarding schools don’t like people w/99’s. Just so you know. They rather you get higher scores, but those are good enough…I guess.

Who told you that urbanflop?

It was just a joke. I am sure the schools love applicants with the highest possible score…
It is kind of duh thing.

Hehe thank you urban. So the 81 won’t matter?

Haha it’s so funny to see people take those kind of jokes so seriously:) in fact I think everyone on cc is probably pretty tense on the whole subject

So the 81 won’t matter?

It matters. Everything matters. It just won’t matter very much. It’s definitely not worth worrying about. Go make sure your essays are excellent.

Slightly harsh but yes I gues Lvillegrad is right. There is no point in dwelling on that at this point of the application process.

Slightly harsh but yes I gues Lvillegrad is right.

Sorry if that came off as harsh. I didn’t mean it to. I meant to say that the difference between straight 99’s and 99, 81, 99 is so small, that it’s really not a big deal and not worth worrying about. Those SSAT’s will have a positive effect on your chances of admission at any school. In some sense though, having straight 99’s would be a teeny-weeny bit better and there’s some very small probability that the difference could be the tiebreaker for the last spot at some school. But you have a better chance of being struck by lightning today than of that difference mattering, so don’t worry about it.

those scores are fine, don’t even sweat it, just focus on the other parts of your app

Thanks so much for all of the reassurances!

Are you also hellovello?

Are you also hellovello?
Nope.

i was 98, 99, 83 and i was 98th overall… I must have JUST missed 99th and your really fmore than ine.
