Kim`s study creates an insight on=(A) the contributions of=(B) Asian American women to the economics as well as=(C) the cultural development=(D) of the United Stated.

They say the error here is in (A)- what`s wrong with it???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Why B is wrong in the first question:
(B) Astronomers who chose Mauna Kea for its exceptionally dry and stable atmostphere saw it as the prospective site of the world`s largest optical telescope.

The original sentence had the cause and effect sentence structure. And 'saw it as' in (B) does not mean 'because of '. I know it is tempting to choose B because of using atronomers as an subject, but D is clearer in presenting the cause and effect relationship.

I am still pondering on the 2nd question.

Ha! Thank you hotingzilla :)
This one was tricky!

I think A on the second one is idomatically incorrect. The correct answer would be "gives insight into" or something like that.

Agree with hotingzilla and tanman.

tan man is correct. i was looking at it for a while..and saw that it should be changed to: creates an insight (to or into) in order for the second part of the sentence to be somewhat parallel. So- creates an insight "to/into" ......Asian American women "to" ....

Does anyone have dictionary definitions on the word 'insight'? It's idioms, too.

insight Show phonetics

the answer is a but why e is wrong ??
