You chance me, I'll chance you? :)

Hello, I'm a high school senior who lives in Georgia, and my number one school is UGA. Here are some facts about me:

GPA: 3.8 unweighted (I have no clue what it is weighted)
SAT Score: 1790 (I know a little low. :( ...)
AP Classes:
Ap Gov
Ap Lang
Ap Chem
Ap U.S History
Ap Lit (Taking Right Now)
Ap Calc (Taking Right now. Afraid of failing. lol )
And Right now I'm taking two dual enrollment classes. Sociology and History.

After School Activities:
Varsity Tennis 3 years (will be four)
Numerous Volunteer Hours. (Library 2 years, Teen council one year, I have about 100 hours in total.)
Poetry Club 1 year
Cheerleading 1 year (Was fun but costs so much.)
FBLA 1 year
Junior Council
Planning on joining Senior Council and Beta Club

I am going to apply early decision, and if I don't get in I will apply regular decision. Will my SAT score prevent me from getting into this wonderful school? Everything else is up to par (amount of Ap's, Gpa, ect.) I test horribly, and I don't think I can score past a 1830 if I decide to take it again. An the next test is in October, which is too late for the early decision deadline. I am African American if that helps. I am probably mixed with something, but my family never had the time or money to keep records. I babysit my younger siblings a lot, but I doubt I can put that down as an after school activity, lol.

Overall, I'm just wondering if I can get into this school? Can I get in early decision, or even at regular decision? And if you chance me, I'll chance you back if you ask. :)

So it looks like you are aware you are a pretty solid student and match UGA stats quite nicely.
I know plenty of people who got in early with similar stats. I wouldn’t be too worried about the SAT score since that takes a back seat to what UGA finds REALLY important and that is rigor and GPA (both of which you have).

I wouldn’t worry about not getting accepted early unless the applicant pool is mind-boggling and full of 4.0/2400 students. But really, you will be just fine!

If you do get deferred, your ECs are on point, you can probably get a good rec, and write great essays!
