You were accepted to BU, but instead are choosing to go to

<p>Hey y’all! I saw a thread like this on another board, and I thought it was a good idea. For those of you turning down BU’s offer, why are turning down the offer and where are you going instead?</p>

<p>I'm not really turning down BU, or well I hope not. My parents want me to go to SMU (in Dallas, TX). To me, when comparing BU and SMU, BU is way better as regards to academics, diversity, social life, music scene. I'm trying to convince them to let me go to BU!! But then again, they're the ones paying for my education so we'll see what happens in the next few days... :/</p>

<p>My daughter is turning down BU (SMG) for the University of Florida. She has decided that she dosen't want to be cold.</p>

<p>turning down BU for University at Buffalo! BU gave me no money and expects me to pay $200,000 over a course of 4 years .. forget that..no degree is worth that much money..peace out BU... besides buffalo has a better business program</p>

<p>Turning BU down for CU-Boulder, way better biochem and physics to be found there for not even 1/4 the cost</p>

<p>Don't get me wrong, I love BU... great school. But it's too big for me and American pretty much has everything I want. But you never know, I'm pretty weird... so I could end up going to BU at the last moment.</p>

<p>Turning down SMG for UBC (Canada) or Waterloo (Canada)....only because they're not offering need-based aid to internationals.</p>
