I was taking Speech 9: Fundamentals of Oral Communication at De Anza for personal growth since it is not even transferable to UC's. However, I did have 26 units this quarter and most of them are science classes, so I had to drop it due to lack of sleep. Yesterday was the last day to drop with no grades of record, and I did it online. The window "your course is successfully dropped" popped out, but today when I checked my schedule online, the class is still there! Apparently, it was not "successfully dropped". This is my 4th "W" (and my last one was because I got a C at De Anza, and I wanted to take it again at Foothill for a better grade, but the counselor at De Anza said I couldn't, and made me drop it, but the deadline for "no grade of record" already passed =_ =). Anyway, thank you for reading my long story. If you know where the threads about "how W's don't matter" are, please link them here. I currently can't find the specific one I saw. CC should have a search engine for these threads.

Um...they DO have a search engine

dont worry w's only matter for grad school 0r at least that what a counselor told me

.....go to your counselor or better yet the dean and complain. There's no way they should let that stand. I'm sure if you told them what happened they'd fix it for you.

i had something like that happen to me...
well i dropped at the 2nd week of class
but after the semester was over... a W appeared
probably the most retarded thing to happen to me at a CC

I would definitely petition that W and explained what happen.

Lackofsense, really? where is the search engine? how do i search for a thread? am i just blind..?
Thank you, guys. I will definitely petition!

nvm, i found the search engine.lol.
