<p>Did anyone here submit music compositions? My daughter submitted two classical pieces. I think her worst fear is that she actually is a finalist because she has a show she’s in that weekend… Sweeney Todd… LOL. </p>

<p>So I just got confirmation that Finalist will be notified before thanksgiving. I called today and asked very politely and they said it should be before thanksgiving. So GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE, I will keep praying!</p>

<p>They have always done it on a weekend in prior years so either on 11/15 or 11/22.</p>
<p>I replied to a tweet from YoungArts, and they tweeted back at me! They said we won’t be hearing from them this week and to have a “good, carefree time while [we] wait!” </p>
<p>Does anyone else keep getting emails from NEC and Juilliard? The more they prolong giving out the results, the more I think I actually have a shot at getting a call, LOL. I’d be pretty happy with a merit, honestly.</p>

<p>there are lists on the YA site that break down all the winners by category and state. it’s not music heavy IMHO. fingers crossed. </p>
<p>Yes, that is what I was referring to. Young Arts has a large group of winners in the musician and vocal type categories.</p>
<p>@Mezzontherise no one really has a “good” chance of being a finalist unless you’re amazing; getting merit is indeed a big deal. It’s usually around 300 merits, 200 honorable mentions and 170 finalists.</p>
<p>YoungArts just sent out an email saying results would be announced on Thursday the 20th.</p>

<p>@kellyallen It was an email about how next Thursday is a big donation day for YoungArts to support the foundation. They ALSO said: “Next Thursday, November 20th, is doubly important for us. On the same day that YoungArts will announce its 2015 Winners, we are thrilled to be participating in the third annual Give Miami Day”</p>
