Hey guys. I just found out about the young arts awards (literally, like two minutes ago). I want to submit for writing and it sounds like such a great opportunity, but I have a few questions. This past year I submitted a short story to the scholastic art and writing awards and won a national gold medal. I know that this gives them rights to the work, though they do say that they will share rights if requested. Does this mean that I can submit the same winning piece to the young arts awards? Even if I cant, can I submit the same NEW pieces to both competitions??? Thanks guys!

email scholastic arts and writing and ask. I don’t think you can, but I’m not sure

Okay, thanks.
