So I've heard that when you apply to colleges, your email should not contain anything else other than your full name and maybe even the last 2 digits of your birth year?

Can somebody confirm this, because I don't register with the Common App website (where colleges see my apps and contact me) using my email something like: Suzyjjangjjang@gmail.com (korean phrase in there)

For college application purposes–and for the rest of your life–you need an email that is serious and professional in tone. You don’t want to sound like a silly teen, even if that’s not the intent of your current email. There’s no special reason to include anything as revealing as your first name and birth year, which I fear could create a risk of identity theft. We have an unusual last name, so our family members are able to simply use their first initial and last name. If you can’t keep it that simple, try your first initial, or first and middle initial, last name and a random number or numbers.

Keep it only your name and possibly birth year / last two digits or something.

I however, have a “serious” e-mail and a “not-so-serious one”. I’ve accidently e-mailed some people the wrong things from the “not-so-serious” e-mail!
