AP Euro gets you credit for western civ. classes. I took both.

I would definitely recommend AP Euro.. as others have stated its much more specific, political, cultural, social.. everything and yet it offers you enough diversity that it still stays interesting. I understand wanting to learn about other cultures, but there is a lot of different, interesting stuff within the European history course. Also, the credit thing is a valid point.. it's not about "graduating in three years", its about getting the credit and possibly an expemtion so you can go on to take more classes that are interesting and relevant that you might not get to take otherwise.

I think I will go with AP Euro, although I don't have to make any decisions right away. Thanks everyone.
