Are you a good driver? What do you need to work on? Did you get in any accidents (your fault or some idiot's)? Any kind of stories you want to tell?

Well, I think I am a good driver-I haven't done anything...yet. But, my ride is little rocky because I speed a lot. On the highway where the speed limit is 65, I go 80. In my neighborhood (in middle of nowwhere) where I am supposed to go 35, I go 50. On the public road to school where the speed limit is 45, I got 60, sometimes 65 when there is no traffic. This is a little risky for me because sometimes a school police officer or a sheriff directs traffic.

I don't have my license yet and I've already managed to scratch a lexus and almost get in an accident a couple times.

seriously though, i'm not really a bad driver. there are just a few things i can't do to save my life (like parallel park...that's how the lexus-scratching incident came about).

i have friends who don't seem to understand the value of red lights or stop signs though, and they kind of terrify me. lol.

I've driven for 5 years, never had an at-fault accident, and never had a ticket. I've driven on both sides of the road (i.e. in a left-hand drive country like Japan), and I'm consistently considered a good, comfort-inducting driver.

been driving for over a year. only once did i make a stupid accident happen. a car sneaked up behind me (it's a friggin small coffin car) and i was reversing and i didnt see it (since in my mind there was no car just a few seconds ago and the car is so small it didn't register on my side mirrors) and hit it.

Been driving for about 3 years now. Never had an at-fault accident or any ticket of any kind. I don't know how to park though. I've just never got any practice at it because the places I go, the parking lots are usually empty. And the way my driveway is situated, I can just drive straight into it.

Not fair. I won't get my license until this summer. It sucks living in a country where the age is 18 and it costs 2000. But at least I can drive at unlimited speeds. I guess that more than makes up for it.

I speed, but usually only 5-10 miles over - lots of speed traps in my area.

No tickets, but a few accidents. I've hit the median and popped a tire while turning ($500). I've rear ended two people (only one was reported because one resulted in no damage), insurance rates: going up. I've backed into three cars (but no damage occured, so I just drove the hell away. And just two nights ago, backing out of a friends driveway, I slammed into her stone mailbox, crumpling the rear right side of my car. $2900 in damage, I'm grounded for a month, can't drive (have to take the bus to and from school), oh and if I don't send in all my RD applications by Thanksgiving - the threat is that I won't be allowed to drive until I buy my own car.

Sometimes I'll speed but usually it's unintentional. I'll go 5 over the speed limit intentionally, though, because I think that's legal lol.

I don't have any road rage and I am usually "the driver" with my friends because I can't stand being a passenger.

I passed my driver's ed tests "with no mistakes" according to the guy I was with.

Driver's education, though, was DISASTEROUS for me. My "teacher" (wasn't really a teacher, but a semester long substitute because my teacher was never there) was just an ass. I didn't like him at all and everyime I did something wrong he'd blow it out of proportion. In my school we drive three to a car... and I drove with two guys (I'm a girl)... and they would sometimes make the same mistakes/worse mistakes but the teacher would NEVER give them crap about anything. God, it was frustrating. I heard him saying something about typical "woman" driving skills in reference to another car on the road.

With the Driver's ed program at my school... if you do well all semester you can a piece of paper exempting you from taking the actual driving test to get your license. Yeah, my teacher said I needed "a lot of work" and wouldn't exempt me though he exempted the two other guys in my group. But then, when I took the driving test, as I mentioned previously: "no mistakes." That's right, beeeetch.

I've had my license for nearly 4 years (20 now). I got a ticket for making an illegal left turn, but I never "forget" how to drive. No serious accidents or anything of that sort. My car still looks brand new. I can parallel-park as well. I'm a good driver and female.

I've been driving for ~4 years. Been pulled over only once, for going 50 in a 35, got a written warning. No accidents. I don't speed on local roads, not worth it. Doesn't save enough time. On long trips going 10mph faster can save you an hour, but locally it'll save like, 1 minute? Not worth the risk of the ticket. I'm a left lane driver on the highway, 80 in a 65, or faster if it's with the flow of traffic, or probably slightly slower, like 74ish if it's completely empty.

I think I'm a good driver. Never been in a real accident, or gotten a ticket. I better be a good driver though, my parents made me have my permit (you can only drive with someone over the age of 18 in the car with you) for a year. Before I could get my provisional license. Yeah, I might go over the speed limit at times...like 5-10. But luckily, I have to go to practice...and don't generally get to leave school for home right afterschool. Police officers are known to park their cars at a certain spots so that they can give us tickets lol...many kids lol.

But yeah, I'm an awesome driver. Except for when I backed into a tree, grazing the passenger window when I was trying to back out of my friends driveway. Seriously...you have to see this driveway. It's like a Y that's like connected at the top with a curve and her detached garage at the top. Trees everywhere...and I was forced to back out, because the way to go straight forward was blocked. But apart from that, I haven't hit anything.

Also, I traveled two hours out of my city to this hickville where getting my license would be easy. I didn't look when I turned, I drove briefly in the wrong lane, I can't get out of a parking space smoothly.

I still got my license.

However, I have two cars (though they're the same: one is an old version of the other, both work rather well and look alright).

I speed, but not too badly (at most, 15 over the limit). HOWEVER, I really, really suck at any kind of parking or turning. Or... stopping. But despite all my near-accidents, I haven't scratched my car or got killed yet.

Here's one of my infamous stories: there's this one turn to get to my school. Anyway, there was this truck in front of me in the turning lane. After skidding to a stop behind him, something took hold of my mind and that's why I turned out of the only turning lane to get into my school.

And what did I do? I parked in the middle of a ferocious highway (one of the busiest, no matter what time of day) in front of a GREEN light. After being yelled to death by my friend, I started moving and drove in the wrong and opposite lane before illegally turning back into my school.

i am an okay driver but the other day i rear-ended my friend's '05 m3 with my vw bus. i had to pay for most of it and it SUCKED. u know what sucks even more is how some junior at my school last month rolled over his escalade while running a red light. no more escalade for him.HAHA (jk but still thats pretty ridiculous for a 16 year old to have a $50,000 car with spinners, stereo,etc...)
