Your ED Application Is In - What Are You Going To Do Now?

I took the day off today to relax from this crazy weekend of filling out applications and sending papers out and whatnot. I am going to try to enjoy my senior year and keep up my grades, even though I should also be studying for calc :(

I'm from greater toronto area, canada.

I'm going to try to do some schoolwork, i feel realllly behind everyone at my school who go crazy over gr 12. marks...

but I have to say, it's really hard for me to focus on school right now, especially while waiting for Cornell's decision.

Hahaha, that's funny how you guys thought we were the same person. Anyway, I live in Irvine, CA, supposedly one of the "safest cities in the U.S." :)

I have plenty to keep me busy till then...
I live in Albany, NY
Woot for upstate!
(not)

pray

anticipate rejection letters sadly

keep praying

im so nervoussssssssssss

im a current cornell student who remembers how terrible the wait was...

just keep telling yourself how good it will feel when you get in.
best of luck!!

chandlerbling...what school do you go to?? i live around albany too

or keep telling yourself about how terrible itll feel when you don't get in

turkkizi91: I go to Bethlehem HS
how about you?

oh funny. i go to emma willard.
which college are you applying to?

Funny application story time while we wait: I made a mistake in the Optional section of the app, so I sent in a request to the admissions office to change it. I didn't get a response, and it really wasn't terribly important, so I sent in another request saying that they could leave it as it was. The day after I sent the 2nd request in, I got a response to the FIRST request saying it's fine, they'd change it. So now I've just sent in a THIRD request saying that that's great and I'd really prefer they'd change it and I'm not going to change my mind any more, really.

...

I'm such a spazz. I really hope they don't attach a note to my file saying something like "_____ _____ asked us to change and unchange something 3 times. ___ ____ is an idiot."

turkkizi91: haha really? that's cool
I'm applying to HumEc, how about you?

chandlerbling: im applying to CALS...ughh december 15th couldnt come any sooner!

ahh i feel bad cuz my sat scores were so low, 1210/1600, but everything else was fine. what did you guys get? the wait is killing me slowly.

karajanhra: haha that is funny! Its okay. today i freaked because i thought I wrote my supplement essay completely wrong and even called in to ask about it! lol.

ndnguy: i got a 1420/1600 or a 2190. i'm applying to engineering though. Really nervous. ahh

I got really lucky on the SAT, I think. I didn't study-- I just sort of waltzed in and got a 1480/2220 with a perfect CR. And I'm really not all that intelligent. Maybe it was all of those animals I sacrificed to the Gods of Admisssion.

@kMz: "Anyway, I live in Irvine, CA, supposedly one of the "safest cities in the U.S."

I worked in Irvine this summer in that huge Taco Bell building. Turns out there's a law firm on the fifth floor. Irvine is awesome! <33

That sounds great! I'm going to study law!

Oh... I'm also going to be waiting to be contacted by an alum for my interview for CALS...

Anyone have any tips on that?

I absolutely hate interviews, though my guidance counselor says I'm awesome at them. Don't know how that happened.

my best single sitting score (I took the SATs twice) is a 1510/2200, and my composite is a 1550/2290.

And I completely agree (about the wait slowly killing me)...I just found out the other 2 people applying to Cornell ED and I flipped out. It was a bad time in my life. 41 days left!
