Kanye West, Big Sean, Roscoe Dash, J. Cole, Jay-z, and Wale. Some clever rappers, some not so much…

hahahahah someone else enjoys the Prince of Egypt soundtrack?? This isn’t real. Okay, why did I just admit that. But the music I actually listen to:

Hooray For Earth
Love
ceo
the Shins
Squeeze
Trust
Twin Shadow
Deep Sea Diver
Das Racist
St. Lucia

Those aren’t necessarily my all time favorites, just a few random bands/groups I’ve been listening to recently to give you an idea of the different kinds of music I like.

It’s ok to admit that you like it. It’s an awesome set of songs. Lol

I like:
Modest Mouse
The Killers
My Chemical Romance
The 88
Billy Joel
Ricky Martin
Ben Folds
Vitas

In general I like alternative, rock, opera, jazz, latin, hindi and russian music and lots of Disney stuff. I’m also completely obsessed with cheesy 80s music! :D

Who doesn’t love cheesy 80s music? I listen to it in the mornings when I brush my teeth!

Define cheesy. Lay out some artists.

Oh god, I completely agree. I pretty much hate most of the artists previously mentioned.

Some of my favorites are: Coldplay, Radiohead, The Beatles, Jack Johnson, Phantom Planet, Birdy, Jacko Hooper, The Clash, Foster the People, The Killers, Mumford and Sons, Hot Chelle Rae, Bon Iver, The Beach Boys, John Mayer, Hall & Oates, Led Zeppelin, Paolo Nutini, Hot Chelle Rae, Vampire Weekend, Young the Giant, Dispatch, Ron Pope, etc.

Also sometimes I listen to old music, like The Foundations, The Turtles, The Kirks, etc. Heh.

I just wrote some random ones so there are probably a ton that I missed. Also I really like Phillip Phillips, and I can’t decide if I should be embarrassed about it or not.

Depends on my mood. I mainly listen to metal, indie-styled rock/pop, and jazz. I’ve been listening to some electronica recently, but only electronica with rock-based influence.

Favorite artists include: Protest the Hero, Scale the Summit, Dave Holland, Fun., Of Monsters and Men, Between the Buried and Me, Dave Brubeck, John Coltrane, etc.

^^^^Also, we should start a “people who know how to pronounce ‘Bon Iver’” club.

omg YES. So many people trying to pretend to be indie when he got his grammy… awk.

“trying to prentend to be indie” oh gawd I knew this thread would take this route

Lol the only reason I know how to pronounce Bon Iver’s name is because of the Grammy’s.

Also, how do you quote someone else’s words? I never really found out how to do it.

The Fray, Coldplay, OneRepublic, The Beatles, Dia Frampton, Beyonce. (:

I’m also enjoying Florence + The Machine and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Hipster post of the day:
I only listen to bands that don’t exist yet.

^^I’m really into Alexander’s solo work right now. You should check it out if you haven’t already.

Hipster posts of the day are so mainstream. insert hipster sigh

Are you trying to call me… a conformist? You monster!

Monsters are so mainstream. I prefer to be called “outcasted beast who is violent due to its emotional difficulties”.
