Impressive enough for you Masterus?

If you want to go to a top 25 school, you need to take extra AP classes online.

Oh, I was going to do that, but I was too busy finding the cure for cancer. Time passes quick when you have fun!

What year of high school are you? and by the way nice exageration.

If your required to take certain classes that aren't AP, than that's fine. Masterus you're not even in high school yet you have no idea what you're talking about. There's no rule for what schedule u can and cannot take to be accepted.

At my school people can only take 2 out of 6 classes AP in junior year and they still get into top colleges (ivy league, mit, stanford, georgetown, etc.)

That's because that's the limit. The guy on top has French 4 Honors and he could have skipped to AP French by now.

Honors Precalc A-
Honors Biology A
Spanish A
English A-
AP World History A-

DAYUMM

maybe French is a weak subject for him. Or maybe his school doesnt offer AP French?? He's a very good student nonetheless i've seen his stats. He's probably heading for the ivy league.

He already posted his school has AP French classes and he needs to hope to have good extracurriculars.

Mastereus,

Only one person has taken an AP foreign language in the history of my school. But nobody - not even that guy - has taken all AP's junior year. And, trust me, we get plenty of kids into top schools.

And by the way, this past year, I had the greatest number of AP's and the highest WGPA (I'm tied for the highest GPA since I'm not the only one with straight A's) in my class. And, again, we get at least 20 people into Ivies each year. I'm not saying that I'll be one of those 20 people next year, just that it's certainly more than possible to get into a top school without taking all AP's junior year. In fact, the average top-school-bound junior at my school takes only 3-4 AP's.

So, seriously, stop talking, because you are totally wrong.

omg - WHO CARES??? - not directed at you theoneo

To Masterus: Well i saw his Academic Index score and i remember it being a 9 i think...which is pretty much the best you can get. All im saying is he's a good student, you're not even in high school and you dont know you'll do amazing like you expect all of us to be doing. If you want impossible standards for yourself..fine..but dont push them on other people. We're old enough to take care of ourselves.

I never said that was bad. You'd have a better chance of attaining an acceptment from the school you want. All AP means more rigorous.

Each school has different students that exel at different rates. If it's your school then i don't agree with your school system.

Um, no. All AP's does not necessarily mean more rigorous.

Honors Organic Chemistry would be much more rigorous than AP Chemistry.

Honors Multivariable Calculus would be much more rigorous than AP Calculus BC.

Honors Topics in Modern Physics (a course at my school that is roughly equivalent to AP Physics C, but is only weighted as an honors course) would be much more rigorous than AP Environmental Science.

Advanced courses at a local college would be much more rigorous than AP-level courses.

You don't seem to realize that AP isn't the highest level. Also, not all AP's are created equal. AP Calculus BC would be considered more rigorous than AP Statistics. Same with AP Physics and AP Environmental Science, respectively, and AP World History and AP Human Geography.

You dont agree with my school system either! But i dont care because i know i go to a good school

But, How ould Colleges know? School profiles don't explain everything. They would assume AP for your high school would be highest because honors is consider lower. AP is affected toward acceptance the most because it is college introductory with end of the year AP Exams.

See, im not worried. All the top colleges have accepted kids from my school every year...so yeah...im all set with my schools classes. i really, honestly dont think you're in a position to give advice, do you , Masterus. You're not even in high school yet. We've been at CC longer than you. We know about the college admissions process plenty. Its not your responsibility to critique our schedules..just worry about your own.

Every high school gets students in great schools. That doesn't mean you're going to one of them. It's a competition for the top colleges. Having the best courses, GPA, extracurricular helps put you into rank with other admissions. There is going to be over 200,000 admissions for your year of graduation on minimum. Just because you're satisfied with your schedule does it mean Colleges will be satified?

Yes but, you see, i am taking the most rigorous schedule possible. im fine with it. colleges will be too...now its just the grades i get in said classes that i have to worry about.

And like i said: ATTENTION: It's not your responsibility to critique our schedules!!!! So..stop.
