Does anybody here have a good online source for Annalee dolls other than ebay? I want to get my daughter some small ones for each holiday for her dorm room and the selection locally is pretty poor.

OK…I just about have my wardrobe (which will be left IN Africa) for my upcoming trip. Yesterday’s trip to GW yielded…

brown linen skirt (Saint Tropez West…not a brand I was familiar with…but hey…it was cheap and what I was looking for) Edit…there is a white one identical to this on ebay right now for $29.99…I did NOT pay that amount).

light blue J Jill 3/4 length sleeve light weight (long) sweater topper

torquise rafaella jacket light weight cotton

And how about this (many of you have read the trials and tribulations of finding my boys very slim cut shirts…

Banana Republic slim fit dress shirt (for DH)…dark colors stripes.

Total…$24 (a lot…how did I spend that much??)

^^ Very nice!! Now I hope that your trip will be “priceless”!

Does anybody shop Tuesday Morning? I am going to be in a city with 3 stores. Since I am remodeling my kitchen I was interested in their cookware. Wonder if it’s worth shipping back home??

Annalee dolls-
not online but just saw some in Ross Dress for less, Homegoods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. About one third of the marked price.

Tuesday Morning-
completely hit or miss, pots and pans can be any brand any time for any price…any given sunday…best deals are when they have a percentage off their clearance price like last week…50% off clearance prices, we have 7 of them within driving distance!

Best deal on pots and pans I have found lately besides the usual suspects, are Dillards New Years Day sale, 50% of all clearance prices in the store, was able to pick up $450 sets for $50 last News Year Day. Great for weddings, house warming, and kitchen remodels!

Kat

Just apologies to everyone who ordered the vases. I haven’t received mine either. I have found that those offers where something was a great deal or close to free have some lag time. I recently bought a hotel deal on groupon or travelzoo (can’t remember which). Thank goodness I decided to use it fairly quickly and called that weekend while the offer was still up to make my reservation. I was on hold for almost an hour and the clerk told me they had to call in extra help to deal with all the calls. Patience hopefully will pay off and will we get our vases eventually!

^Online, the King sized blanket is listed for $79.99. I went to Bed, Bath, and Beyond store today and was pleasantly surprised. It was on clearance for $29.99 in a beautiful deep purple color.

I also bought a new king sized mattress/boxspring set at Sleepy’s today. Got a good deal.
It’s going to be so nice to sleep on a mattress without 2 ditches separated by a hill :)

Thanks nysmile, my SIL just redid her bedroom and got a king sized bed. Her b’day is this month. I’m going to check my BB&B today to see if I’m as lucky as you (which by extension will make my SIL lucky!
).

Well…I had fun yesterday…went to a place called Building 19 someplace in the Walpole MA area. It is a HUGE “odd lots” place with something for everyone. They have a particularly nice and varied selection of rugs…ranging from inexpensive stuff to handmade wool orientals. I bought two nice 2x4 foot rugs for in front of my sink and stove…$12 each. You know…I view these as “disposable” and I’m sure they will last for 4 or 5 years like the last set did. For this price, I’ll replace them.

Oh…and I would LOVE to go back to this place again to poke around…a dump for sure…but some good bargains to be found.

^ I love Building 19! You never know what kind of stuff you’ll find in there. They’ve got 10 or so locations all over MA.

Glad to hear Building 19 is still around. Back in the late 70s my entire first apartment was “decorated” by Building 19 purchases. Do they still identify each location by a different fraction? I believe most of my purchases were from Building 19 3/8 (somewhere near Worcester if I remember correctly.)

I have never purchased through restaurant.com but I see there is a code to get 90% off on $25 gift certificates today only - code WOW.
Edited to say that I actually believe the code is supposed to give you $25 certificates for $1. Really?

[Restaurant Coupon Codes - all coupons, discounts and promo codes for restaurant.com](http://www.retailmenot.com/view/restaurant.com)

Looks like each restaurant has stipulations so be sure and read through the details. How has your success been with restaurant.com???

^ Some of the Building 19’s still use the fractions.

Anyone else remember Spag’s? I still miss that place…

I didn’t notice “fractions” but the prices were pretty good. I think you need to know your prices. They had “designer things” but I was not impressed by those prices (and the desigers were UNKNOWN to me). BUT they did have a lot of Eddie Bauer outerwear.

Greeting cards 3/$1…now THAT is a deal.

There was a Building 19 near here but it closed this summer when terms of a new lease could not be agreed upon. Its official name was Building 19-1/15 because it was the 15th store in the chain.

abasket-We have used restaurants.com many times and have never had any issues. Yes, it really is a $25 gc for $1!!! At the beginning of the month the deal is usually $25 gc for $10, then as the month goes on the discount increases.

abasket: I’m a regular user of restaurants.com. I only ever buy them when they are 80% off which makes them $2, so really this is only $1 difference. Seriously read all the rules though. They all have a minimum you need to spend. The lowest seems to be $35 for a $25 gift certificate. They generally are also dine in only and only for dinner. Some not valid on weekends.

Have had some excellent meals, and some not so good experiences. One of our restaurants went out of business but they did exchange it for another. One restaurant refused to honor the certificate. I’m still arguing with them about that one because it’s a restaurant I’ve wanted to try.

But the thing that annoyed me most is that my mother gave me a gift certificate for $50. When I received tha 90% off email, I figured today was a good day day to redeem it, but it only lets me redeem the gift certificate for the value of a restaurant certificate. So I would have been WAY better off had she given me $10 in cash.

I just bought the $25 GC for $1. When it says “today only” does it mean it has to be used today or is it just that the deal was for today? The coupon says “this certificate does not expire” so I think I can use it anytime.

That means it’s 90% off for today only. Of course, they said that yesterday too. The really good thing about those certificates is that they never expire. Unless, of course, the restaurant goes out of business.
