Macy’s sale is awesome. Got a set of All-Clad pots (made inthe USA), 2 sets of bathroom towels for D’s bath (made in the USA), a plush Turkish robe, and 2 large crystal vases (made in Germany), all with the extra 25% discount. Most of the stuff I got almost never goes on sale. I did not get the bed spread I was looking at becuse the two matching pillow shams were made in China. I will get a 10% Macy’s cash on all of this because D shamed me into signing up for their Thanks For Sharing program. I can apply that towards some new towels for our bath. :)

Help needed from the avid shoppers here: women’s slippers, not open at the heel, lined with something that is not sweat-inducing, and with some arch support. Uggs would be perfect, but the footbed is far too flat. Any suggestions?

Arabrab: Sorel is the brand name and Nakiska is the particular style.

These are shearling lined, but keep my feet warm in winter, comfortable in summer. YMMV. I have a very high arch, so one of the first things I noticed is the wonderful arch support.

They run true to size and may seem a little tight-ish at first. After a few wearings, they do stretch a bit. When I first got them, I swear I didn’t take them off for a month. They have a harder bottom, so you can go outside with them or even run an errand.

They do have a heel on them but I often use them as mules. Either way, best slippers I have EVER owned. I’ve seen these on Zappos and I think they’re $55 if not on sale.

I loved these slippers so much I have since given a pair to my daughter and my sister-in-law. They’re both so hooked on them, they even make room for them when they travel. So do I. Totally worth the space in the luggage :)

Those Sorel Nakiska look ideal, except for one problem - they’re made in China. Unfortunately, Zappos doesn’t often include Country of Origin in their descriptions so I had to check around. Does anyone know of a similar slipper with good arch support that is not made in the PRC? I received a pair of Haflinger slippers last year, and while they are comfortable for lounging they don’t provide enough support for my wrecked feet.
Thanks!

Silpat – these also came up in my looking at Zappos, though they’re on the pricey side:

Arabrab, thank you! Those look perfect since I can use my Rx orthotics with them. You’re right that they’re pricey, but I’ve gotten used to a limited wardrobe (among other things) in order to pay the price for non-PRC quality.

silpat, you might be able to pick up this type of slipper for about $50 less at 6pm, if they have your size.

Is 6pm a store or a time?

Hehe! Have you gone on their site? I recently placed my first order with them (leather shoes under $20 delivered from a brand that I know will fit. Yup, I like to buy at bargain basement pricing whenever possible).

[Your Outlet for Finding Shoes, Clothing, Great Sales, and More | 6pm.com](<a href=“Your | 6pm”>http://www.6pm.com/) It’s a zappos store, isn’t it?

Last I heard it is run by Zappos, but I have not followed if there were changes. I actually learned about them through ebeeee (thank you, ebeeee). Not sure at all, but I believe some things that don’t sell out on Zappos are put on 6pm, but that might not be true.

Just checked the link, kathiep. Yes, 6pm is operated by Zappos.

Don’t know if they have them across the country, but I"m enjoying the good buy of a 8ft fresh frasier fur from Costco for $29.99!!

Yes, abasket, our local Costco sells firs grown in Oregon.

6pm is a Zappos clearance place. I’ve ordered from them, and based on what I got, I think they are selling prior year fashions and Zappos returns that might be missing a few tissues from the packaging. The goods are brand new, unworn.

My son loves 6pm! A great place to pick up last year’s color of name brands like North Face, Columbia, Patagonia, Nike, etc… Can you tell my son likes outdoor’s wear
He waits until the price is really low; he isn’t too picky about the color, more concerned with the price.

I just bought these last week at Sears and am really enjoying the comfort. Not sure if the lip around the back is high enough for your needs, though.
Went to the Macy’s Friends and Family sale. Got a coach clutch for my D, list price $98, got it for $55, (on sale for 25% off, then I got my 25% off). Hope Ms. Picky likes it.

My major score, a calphalon 3qt saute pan. It was a morning sale for 29.99, and then I used my 25% off so it came to 22 and change. I have no idea how much it usually retails for but it’s really really nice, heavy and has a lid.

I also got k cups. They were 11.99 and then I used my 25 off so they were around 8.50, cheaper than I can get at Bed Bath and Beyond, so I was happy.

Spent way too much though!

Love the Macy’s coupon–new Waterford annual ornament at 25% off brightened my day! And I picked up the paperweight that I had been thinking over–on clearance plus the 25% off. I may go back today with DH…

We’ve gotten our tree from Costco the past few years. Can’t beat the price & they’re a nice quality.

Picked up a Norelco men’s electric shaver (including a replacement head) at Costco last night for $70. Went over to Macy’s right after and they had the same one (without the replacement head) on sale from $159 to $99. It would have been $75 after the 25% but still a much better value at Costco.

Well Amazon was kind today. I bought my son a book I thought he’d love and he (who never buys himself very much) comes home from his classes with the book, they had it on sale at his college’s gift shop. I went online to print out return labels at Amazon and they said at one point in the process, “The return is on us” I get the refund and don’t have to return the book which now will be a gift for someone else, maybe a donation.
I am a good customer, but I appreciated it.
