It was at the store. My D is always cold as well but it’s a struggle to get her to dress warmly. Perhaps this featherweight layer would help her.

REI recently had a sale–not sure if it was on-line as well as at the store.

And where is the info on the Fodors guide tips, HImom? I don’t see it on their web site.

What was the Macy’s 25% off online? I knew there was a coupon, but missed the code for online.

macy’s code is macysff

I’m being quoted in Fodors 2012, "You were quoted in Fodor’s Hawaii 2012 along with other travelers like you as a part of the guide’s “Word of Mouth” feature.

Each title in the Fodor’s Gold Guide series includes “Word of Mouth”—suggestions and tips from travelers on the Fodors.com forums and member reviews sections. We believe that the first-hand experiences of our members are a valuable addition to our guides. These stories and recommendations are a part of what makes Fodor’s guides unique.

Your quote appears in chapter O’ahu and reads as follows:

“Whale-watching should be good in Marchtry to book a cruise. They also have glass-bottom boat rides, which I enjoyed. Parasailing, stand-up paddling, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay are all fun activities and can be arranged at your hotel or in advance.”

Anyway, I don’t know much more than that.

What is really cool about Macy’s website is when get to the end to pay, there is a little box for you to find coupons you could use, you could choose one that’s best for you.

Thanks for the Macy’s coupon code. I ordered dress for D that will work well for auditions. It’s not easy finding dresses that fall below the knee and cover the shoulders. I found the macysff worked best for this order.

I had the best shopping trip at the mall. DH’s white shirts were on sale at Macy’s–60% off, PLUS I had a 25% off coupon “friends & family” which was going to expire yesterday. Bottom line…good no-iron white shirts for $22 ea.

Then for me I found comfy black medium-heel shoes at Easy Spirit. Only $39 and they weren’t stillettos or flats! Take that, DSW, Macy’s, Penny’s, Target, Kohl’s, and every other shoe store that has not met my needs! (LOL I have finicky feet.)

And I think I’m done…time to avoid the mall for the next few weeks. Already got Hanukkah gifts for the grandson, and bought theater tickets for the rest of the gang!

Congrats, mommusic. I spent all day Sunday at the same stores looking for the same type shoe. I had almost given up in despair when I turned around and there was a resale store behind me. Just what I need, I thought. I need someplace that is selling styles from 2 years ago. Sure enough, I found black dress sandals for $14 with a medium heel that I can walk in and not scream in pain. I don’t think of resale stores for shoes but maybe I should. These looked brand new.

Actually, I did try the shoe rack at the thrift store when I was there. I realized I needed shoes from 2 years ago! The sad part is, these silly super-high heel shoes can’t be recycled/given away to needy people. Who would wear them?

Thanks for explaining, HImom. I thought it was a new promotion.

Lord have Marci. Went to Syms for likely the last time last night. Bye-Bye Sy…

Landsend has 40.00 off 100.00. I had stocked up on turtlenecks for hubby, winter jacket and it looked like this:

Not bad…

Thanks to RobD for the tip on Costco Christmas trees. Sure enough, there’s a big semi-trailer sitting outside our Costco gas station, with a sign reading, “7-8’ Douglas Firs $30”
I found one closer to 9’. In the past I’ve paid at least $90 for the same type of tree.

I guess abasket recommended Costco for trees, too. Thanks, abasket. And a big thanks for starting this thread. It’s turned into one of the most popular threads on this web site.

Target has Starbucks Coffee 12 oz. bags for 7.99. Buy 3 and you get a $5 target gift card. Use the $2 and $1 Starbucks coupon in this past Sunday newspaper coupon insert.
I pop in here once in a while and get great ideas. so wanted to add one. Gap today buy one sweater get one free all day!

Sierra Trading Post is now offering 30% off their already discounted prices. I found a pair of Munro American flats, for my very hard to fit feet, for just $39.

One thing I like about STP is that they provide Country of Origin info for most of their items. It’s where I learned that some other shoe companies (Allen Edmonds, sadly, is one) no longer make all of their shoes in the US while others have gone entirely to overseas production.

Last day for this offer!

Forever 21 has lots of jewelry (lots of it looks good for pre-teen/early teen IMO, but other stuff too) marked down to $1.50 each - then at the top of the page there is a code for free shipping.

Great stocking stuffers or small gifts for daughter’s friends…

Just saved 70% on a velvet jacket at J.Jill. --50% off all their velvet items–today only --plus 20% off all orders (“It’s our gift to you!”). VELVET is the online code. Offer good in stores and online. Saved over $100! Have a casual holiday gathering to attend and I plan to wear it with jeans, but it can be dressed up or down, I’d think.
