I stopped in our GW briefly last week to take a quick look (they recently ārenovatedā) - YOUR GWās must be a whole different animal! I know it takes more than a quick look, but I just didnāt see much and I donāt know what they renovated cause it still smelled not good!

Need to check out GW in the suburbs perhaps - my D has one near her apt. in another town - I bet it might have some of the āgoodā stuff!

abasket, I have 3 GWs within 30 minutes from my home. They are all different, but none smells really bad. I will admit sneezing a few times due to dust on items.

One GW is rather small and it makes I begin to feel too claustrophobic. Also, because they are small they really donāt get in the selection or the unbelievable āfindsā. I donāt go to this one.

One GW has items that are priced to high, and the higher end items get locked up. One cannot readily get to see those items because there just are not enough hands. I donāt go there either. Also, it is furthest from my home.

The third one is great. They price things well enough to keep the goods moving, and they constantly put out new things. It really is revolving in terms of new items, as they seem to come out with new things every 15-30 minutes. Abasket, I even bought a beautiful basket there! I wish you could have a look to tell me it is worth. Oh, the price was 99 cents!

No markings, no tags. I am looking at ebay for something similar but I wonāt have access to a computer for about 30 minutes. If I find something similar I will post. It is more unusual than an average basket. It came out with a lot of native American pieces, but that might not mean anything.

abasket, after going through about 25 pages of baskets, I would say the weave looks similar to this basket. The basket is much light than this one and mine has a double lip (not a rim that juts out, but just a double rim, if that makes sense).

abasket this is what it looks like, but without the green design that is shown here. Also, mine looks larger and has a that double rim that I was trying to describ above:

[$3 Goodwill Store Purchase Earns $190K At Auction - Greenville News Story - WYFF Greenville](Greenville SC News and Weather - WYFF News 4) This will be you someday northeastmom. I always enjoy hearing about your GW finds but who knew it could almost pay for 4 years at a private college!!

LOL, moreover! I thought it was going to be about hoarding! That guy did rather nicely! I have to keep telling myself when I am in GW to be very selective, or to donate somethings if I purchase a few things.

Well, I went to TJ Maxx and scanned the travel bags, looking for good Bagellinis. I found - instead - a Sherpani Zoom bag, which seemed just about perfect for a day trip or a casual vacation when I want my hands free - a great size to throw in a carry-on and to carry around while touring - a perfect size to hold my essentials: money, credit card, sunglasses, reading glasses, kleenex, lip gloss, and a compact. I love the wide opening and the zipper top. Unfortunately, I didnāt like the color TJās had, so I came home and ordered the bag in a different color from Amazon.com. Not quite as much of a bargain but it was a good buy in that Iām really glad I found this bag. I hope it works as well as I expect it to work. :D

So Northeast, yours is kind of pliable? I have seen those kind - might even have something similar, but donāt know much about them. But IMO, as long as you like it and can use it, itās perfect!!!

abasket, I did a little research last night and seems that more flexible baskets are done with some type of grass material. It does not have a colorful design, but it caught my eye. It is not an ordinary basket and I do like it. How does one go wrong for 99 cents if one is going to use it?

Iāve seen those baskets around NEmom. I had no idea that they were worth something! Good deal! Thumper and northeastmom are the GW queens! I have to say that every time I see a GW now I feel compelled to pull in, but I just donāt see to have the deal finder nose.

Midwestmom- last year I was tempted to buy a Sherpani bag from Magellanās (a high end travel company) but decided to not spend the money. I ended up with a cheap bag from Ross. The Sherpani bags are really nice. Amazon has some good buys on discontinued colors. I just might splurge.

kathiep I feel the same way, but I think part of it is that Iām impatient. My sister sometimes goes to a GW warehouse near her that has just dumpsters of clothesā¦she has found cashmere sweaters she resold and leather pantsā¦I would go numb with impatience but she can stay an hour and find great deals.
I have found some great pieces of furniture and clothing but usually it wasnāt hard, they were obviously not out long and I had good luck with timing.
