Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

I know this sounds to good to be true, but it is true… About $400+ (my guess) regular retail price for 4 pairs of shoes/boots (all leather and name brand) for $37.50! You know where! I don’t need anymore dress shoes and I now have new leather boots for the fall (Clarks). Best part, NONE were worn more than to try them on. I don’t buy worn shoes. There isn’t a mark/blemish on any of them.

The brands: Joan and David, Clarks, Kenneth Cole, and Anne Klein iflex

I have never seen unworn shoes dropped of in this quantity before.

^^^green.with.jealously.

There were three pairs of BRAND NEW Clarks (actually two were just like ones I bought at a store) for $10 a pair but they were 6 1/2. I tried the “Cinderella thing” but I couldn’t squeeze my size 8 feet into them.

But I did get two Lilly Pulitzer sundresses…gorgeous…and I have weddings to go to.

LOL, you’re green because you found diamond earings in the handbag that you bought!

I am breaking in my AK iflex right now! I had so much fun shopping there today!

Very happy for you thumper! The Clarks were $10 here too, but because it is a Monday, I got an additional 25% off.

BTW, I do know how to spell “earrings” and “off”. Just too late to correct.

Thumper - I wear 6 1/2 in Clarks!! Buy them for me!

Went to the famous Vera Bradley Outlet Warehouse sale in Fort Wayne Indiana today- fun times! CRAZY how much people buy! We managed to scour and score and came home with several items for an average of about 70% off! For instance I bought a 17" inch laptop sleeve originally $58 for $12.99, $54 purses for $14.99! Some stuff was IMO still high but we were satisfied with our finds. The item most on demand was something I did not buy. XL sized duffle bags - originally $108 for $39. People were walking around with half a dozen on each arm!

Went into Talbots Thursday and stopped by the sale rack. Got a nice pair of light colored pants for $37 that actually fit. List on the tag was $109, marked down to $79. Did not know about all of the other special promotional mark downs until I had the price checked. Score! I almost never can wear the stuff that’s on sale.

Went to buy a pair of hiking shoes. Instead I got trail running shoes, platform sandals, 7 tops, 4 dresses, a sweater and 2 pkgs of starbucks k cup coffee packs. Wasn’t cheap per se but was all on sale and with an additional 20% off coupon.

Haha, just checked out the first page of this thread from a few years back…Rodney got gas for $1.87/gallon! YIKES! What a buy THAT would be today!!! :(

^^Filled the car for under $4/ gallon and was happy about that, LOL!

That is a good deal : ) I was tickled last week when I drove my daughter back to college to get Stop & Shop gas for 2.87…had about 1000 points and knew I’d lose them soon. Of course I was almost on empty on the way home, but it saved me about 20.00.

One of our local supermarkets has some gas stateions that give a 3 cent/gal discount or a 10cent/gal discount if you’ve spent $100/mo there. Its usually a reasonable deal, but I wont drive way out of my way to go there-- wastes gas!

I wouldn’t either, I’m lucky to have 2 or 3 near me 10-15 minutes away. Since I shop at Stop & Shop at least once a week, anything they give me is appreciated. We try to save them for a few weeks but I l think a month is the limit. I got a coupon in the mail last week, if I spend 50.00, I get 20 cents off (200 gas points) That unfortunately wont be hard.

We get discounts through Stop & Shop too. Unfortunately, since we’re empty nesters our food bills aren’t that high to give us more than maybe 30 cents off for one fill-up per month (before they start expiring). But that’s better than the prices we’d be paying otherwise.

Saw this and just had to have it…it was so pretty. And for $1…figured it was worth it.

The Costco AmEx credit card gives back 3% on most gas purchases and 4% if you have their business card. Savings can really add up & amounts to more than $.10/gallon. If you only save $.10/gallon, you’d have to put in a TON of gas to save $20 (like 200 gallons); I don’t own any vehicle that holds that much & never have!

Today’s best buy for me at Goodwill…two new North Face t-shirts. Also got a Fossil shirt and a sleeveless Champion top (for when I run). Got DH some GAP shorts, Old Navy jeans and a Greg Norman golf shirt.

I also got a beautiful turquoise Coldwater Creek sweater ($5), and two pairs of Madden Girl small heel sandals ($6 a pair…brand new).
