Your Good Buy Of The Day (Part 1)

kathiep–thank you thank you! Yes it was L/XL

But it’s odd. Kohl’s was OUT of them. The in-store kiosk only showed them in S/M, even when the sales person helped me out. They must have made some more! :)

You all are such good shoppers!

Well…tried to order the gloves online, kept getting an error message when I entered my promo code, so I had to call the customer service number and wait on hold about 5 minutes. But I got the gloves!

Sale price was 50% off plus my 30% for using the Kohl’s charge. Had to pay shipping of course but I didn’t have to drive anywhere so that was all good. :)

For any fans of JCrew, 30% off in stores and online with free shipping through the 17th, no minimum; code WISHLIST. I picked up a blouse I’d been looking at that had already been marked down 30% so it ended up just under 50% off total. I’ll let DH give it to me for Christmas. I also picked up a few of their perfect fit t’s in marked down colors that came down to $7. Hard to beat that at Target.

Also, JCrew Factory, 40% off (priced as marked) + additional 20% for orders over $75 and free shipping through the 16th; code SCOREMORE. To remember, returns must be made through mail or at a JCrew Factory outlet.

mommusic, for future reference… If you order inside Kohls at their customer service counter, they will ship for free. They have a phone that’s dedicated for ordering and paying bills. I’ve done it twice now - can use all the regular promo stuff - cash, discounts, etc. Last time I did it because I saw what I thought was the perfect wallet but not in the right color. I looked it up on my phone while standing there, saw that it came in the color I wanted so walked over to customer service and got it with a phone call. The item is delivered to wherever you want. That also works at Coldwater Creek.

You can also order with free shipping at the Kohl’s kiosks right in the store. Look up your item, enter your info, even use your coupon codes.

These gloves were apparently available only online. I asked.

I went to REI flagship store last night, to look at xcountry tights for D. ( I had ordered her some online, but they looked really small- however they showed me how stretchy they were so I am going to let her try them on)
I bought two pair of gloves, both marked way down, one childrens size- ( we have small hands) My oldest & I often buy kids gear, it’s made the same and the arms aren’t too long.
Since I was also trying to find a flannel shirt for Ds bf, I wanted to see it in person, so I took pics & sent them to her so she could help decide. ( very handy)
Also had bought socks for myself & youngest- had already bought some, but they always need more!
Favorite new thing- I not only found where the elevator was, but they now have grocery carts! ( hope they keep them after Christmas)

LLBean is having a one day today only 30% off boots sale plus free shipping plus a $10 gift card for orders over (I think it’s) $50. Enjoy.

Just ordered this online, for my niece, with a $5 coupon from retailmenot:

I found this Fossil bag for 59 at TJMaxx…saw it online for 85-up, but mostly out of stock now. Daughter seems to like slightly vintage purses, so we’ll see…she said she wanted a black bag and likes Fossil.

TJMaxx had the cutest purses/bags last week. Saw Fossil bags - adorable. Bought D1 a Nine West crossover bag and picked up a Steve Madden crossover for S’s GF on clearance for $14.99. Will put a gift card TO TJMaxx in the purses!!!

Bought $70 of stuff online yesterday at Kohls and received email an hour later with a $10 certificate that can be used 12/26-1/1 with no minimum.

Used 20% off, then $15 certificate at Lord & Taylor this morning to pick up a sweater & turtleneck for my mom.

Son’s touchscreen gloves finally arrived from Kohl’s. I ordered them online (with nifty 30% off coupon) and 2 days later got an email that the transaction had been cancelled. “System cancellation.” Huh?

So I emailed them to ask what that meant. Meanwhile, I thought I’d try ordering the gloves again, using the 30% off promo, which was still good. This time they were actually shipped and just arrived.

Still no answer from Kohl’s customer help. They obviously weren’t OUT of the gloves!

iPhone 5s are $127 at Walmart. You can just add them to your existing contract.

My daughter was at Bloomingdales trying on dresses for New Years and fell in love with a dress that of course was full price. We have a family wedding next December that she could wear the dress to, but knew she shouldn’t spend this much for a dress. She went ahead and bought it as she said it looked great on! About 15 minutes later I call her back as I remember I have Bloomie coupons. She sends me the dress info and we realize while the dress was full price in the store at $338, it is $202 online; my coupon is $50 off $200. But wait there is more; online purchases are an additional 15% off with your Bloomingdale’s card plus free shipping! Final price with tax was $137 :). My daughter is very happy as she really didn’t want to spend $300+ and most likely would have returned the dress. I just need to make sure she pays me back ;)

^^^^GOOD buy!!!

Toledo-- this is your fault. What we got wasn’t cheap, but a good deal. So thank you, I think :)

S#2 asked us to go in on an ipad with him as a holiday gift. I saw Toledo’s post above about apple deals at Walmart. Didnt get this there, but some other local stores are offering comparable deals. DS selected the 3rd generation 32GB wi-fi (no phone service, just wi-fi). It was on sale for $459 and we had a $15 store coupon, so got it for $444. Was $25 less than the refurbs from Apple, and this is brand new. Paid with Costco Amex so get double the warranty too.

Fresh pineapples were priced at 99 cents each at my grocery store tonight…I bought two!

Off to see our son. Priceless.

Picked up gift certificates at GAP today for 10% off with a coupon I received in the mail. I will use them after Christmas for office wear that will be on sale.

While I was there, I also picked up a pair of jeans to replace ones I ripped last month - with the 10% coupon, paid $21.50 for dark wash skinny jeans that are $69.50 regular price! (I considered being really cheap and first buying the gift card, then using it to buy the jeans with the 10% off, but I didn’t want to appear THAT cheap!).
