<p>S2’s summer sch. book cost $120 in book store…new edition, no used available.
I got it for $70 (counting shipping) from Amazon.
S finished class last week, took the book to textbook store in town and sold it for $30.</p>
<p>So I ended up w/ $40 in a book that cost 3 times that much in school bookstore.</p>
<p>Priceline is great. I recently bought 3 hotel nights in 3 different locations. I paid $36, $45, and $46 for the 3 different hotels (tax not included). All are rated 3 stars.</p>

<p>4 star in st. louis downtown…$70.00</p>
<p>4 star in chicago downtown… $90.00</p>
<p>3.5 star in st. louis west county (chesterfield)…$55.00</p>
<p>was probably most pleased with this st. louis hotel…very clean, very upscale, very friendly, helpful staff, great location…would definitely stay there again.</p>
<p>chicago…while a great location…the room was just ok, not great. location makes it a good place to stay…but wasn’t that impressed with the room.</p>
<p>chesterfield…excellent pool and wonderful beds…would stay there again.</p>
<p>my tip…search first on priceline to see what hotels are available on the dates that you intend to stay…because some rooms are sold out and so you wouldn’t be bidding on those sold out rooms…only on rooms still available. if i have to change my areas, i decrease/increase my bids accordingly. for instance, while i paid $55.00 for the chesterfield room, I would not want to have paid $90.00 for the same room. It’s all about perceived value :)</p>
<p>I’ve needed to replace a wheel on my car for about 2 years. Dealer price is $360. I called a junkyard this morning (“recycle center”) and they quoted me $80 for the wheel. Looks like I’m going to drive down there tomorrow to pick one up.</p>
<p>Well technically I didn’t buy anything, but an hour ago I won a $100 Starbucks Mini card on a local radio station. I am giving it to D for school, she is beyond thrilled! I have never seen the Mini, it goes on your keychain. It wouldn’t be very convenient if you are going through the drive through!</p>

<p>used a coupon today to get a free picture cd. still have to pay for developing the film but at least i saved some $'s.</p>

<p>Additionally, I went to the mall today and found some pants at Nordstrom that I liked a lot, but did not like the price. A stop at the Nordstrom Rack on the way home yielded said pants waaay cheaper than what they were selling for at the main store, on sale! The Rack was a zoo, and the mall was not empty either, and it was not raining!</p>
<p>I found a dress for an upcoming wedding at Dress Barn, half off and it looks great. They have a lot of dresses/tops/shoes on sale right now.</p>

<p>just received a " new" ( refurbished) ipod touch from the Apple store online.
I am now going to give my " old" ( I bought it in June), but smaller ipod touch to my H.
It will be his first!
It is going to take me a while to update it, but he has taken to mine so well ( he mostly plays pinball), & I decided I needed a bit more memory anyway, that I thought he should have one of his own.
( he also really likes the icarpenter app)</p>
<p>I know that they will probably come out with new ipods in the fall or by xmas, but refurbished isn’t a bad way to go.</p>
