Not a good buy that anyone else can necessarily bank on, but I was in a HomeGoods/Marshalls yesterday to get some replacement bed pillows…took a look through the athletic wear because…because I always do.

Came across one and only one random pair of Title Nine bermuda shorts in a beautiful deep turquoise blue. The Title Nine tag said original price was $69. The Marshalls price was $9.99! I think it was a mismark because the Marshalls tag said original price was $13. Clearly not!

I’m not usually a bermuda shorts wearer but these were very comfy, just the right size and have great slim but useful pockets for hiking or just a cooler shorts day. I was thrilled.

Great find! I love title nine but this year they stopped making my Rogue River capris ;(.

I got a pair of Sam Edelman suede pumps at TJ Maxx for twenty dollars in the mark down section. They originally sold for $119.99 and are still selling in (I think) Bloomingdales on sale for$69.99!

Just a reminder - lord and Taylor is having 15% off cosmetics through tomorrow as part of friends and family sale.

I said it in another post on a different thread but I feel it also belongs here. I got a really nice jacket for 50% off it’s original price. If you like buying clothes that are on sale, I suggest you check outlets around your area especially with their July 4th sales that are going on at this time.

@MoonKnight , it would be a good idea to share where you got your good deal. I had a look at your other threads, but I can’t find the one where you mentioned your new jacket. Please link it here.

@Lindagaf I’m sorry but I can’t link it here. I bought the jacket at an outlet where there is usually sales. I couldn’t find it online for sale. I’m just recommending you check your local outlet for July 4th sales since I found the deals at my local outlet to be really good.

I got THE most comfortable dress sandals ever! Now that I’m older, I have trouble wearing heels for very long, but I’m short and when I dress up I want a little bit of a heel. Had to find dress sandals to wear to a wedding a couple weeks ago. They were out of my size in the display model, but the gentleman came out with the same black sandals that differed in the fact that they were the black, shiny patent leather vs the black, snake skin look. I actually thought they looked dressier than the more recent style and they were only $14 vs $40! He said they were an older style and he just happened to find these in the back near where the more recent style was shelved.

Tried to post a pic but the link was way too long. Here’s a description: Alfani Voyage fbk2, 1-1/2" covered demi wedge heel that’s covered with the black patent leather, a combo of straps that are the faux leather and a black, soft/stretchy type material, open-toe and they call it sandstretch gore around the ankle. Super comfortable - wore them to the ceremony and all night long at the reception w/o a care in the world. My feet loved me! ?

^^^ Sorry, I forgot to say I purchased the older style sandals at Macy’s. They are shown on their website in the most recent style black, snake skin version and other colors too.

I just saw Banana Republic Factory is offering 60% off almost everything on their online store. Just thought about sharing in case you’re interested in buying clothes for the summer.

https://bananarepublicfactory.gapfactory.com/

July 2 and 3, my favorite flannel fabric is on sale at JoAnn’s for $2.09/yd (regular price $6.99 but no one every pays that).

I also learned (like how could I not have known this!!) that when a fabric is on sale, the remnant price is automatically reduced to the sale price, and then you get 50% off that. Got a few little pieces for about 75 cents each.

Vera Bradley outlets are having 70% in outlet stores. Extra 15% for students and teachers.

Gap is having up to 75% off on items found on its website and in the store.

For Amazon Prime members:

Spend $10 at Whole Foods in-store or on Prime Now, get $10 on Amazon for Prime Day. Good from 7/3-7/16. One per customer.

When is Amazon Prime day this year??

@abasket Amazon Prime day is July 15th and 16th.

D17 is working in an office this summer. She has made due for a while as she can wear some of my clothes like tops and some casual dresses but not my pants. This past weekend, she asked if we could go shopping for some work clothes. Got her several pairs of pants at Nordstrom Rack, but our best deals were at Loft and Gap. At Loft, clearance was 70% off and the rest of store was 40-50% off (typical marketing ploy). However, while she was in dressing room, a shopper handed me a $20 off $50 that she wasn’t going to use. She got four tops, a pair of shorts and a pair of pants (for me) for $117. The pants were $12 and the shorts were $10!

D17 is going to Spain to study abroad this fall and was told they are not allowed to wear shorts to class. Kind of a problem since she goes to college in southern CA so that’s most of her wardrobe! At Gap, we bought this adorable pantsuit - it was further discounted so we got it for $36. https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=468790002&pcid=999#pdp-page-content

She also got a sundress for $28. It was something I never thought she would pick out, but once she tried it on, it was very flattering and will be perfect for both class or a night out in Spain. She can also wear the pantsuit and dress to work this summer.

On a non-clothing note, we are in desperate need for a new down comforter. The one we own is from The Company Store and I’m sure it is at least 20 years old. It has recently started fraying in the seam and losing feathers. I was shocked to see how expensive they have become, but thankful they are currently running a 20% off sale. I suppose if it lasts as long as the old one, in the long run it’s not that pricy. I think I’m getting this one in down but not sure which comfort level to get. Wish I remembered which one our current one is.

@4kids4us A nice pair of jeans is the most important staple in a European wardrobe.
