Folks!!! Check out Alaska Air sale - code LETSBOGO!!! Yes, thatâs buy one get one for taxes and fees only! Ends in 2.5 hours!!! Aaack! Jay got us 2 tix to Hawaii for $300 a piece AND got upgraded to first class. What a SWEET deal. Wish I knew earlier - I would have posted earlier!!
Paging @HImom ! Maybe a good time to visit your kid in CA?
My kids are both with me in HI right now and I just saw this, so sale is likely over already. Congrats on your wonderful deal! Thanks for your upcoming visit! Our state appreciates it! Yup, tried it & itâs done. Thanks for thinking of me!
On a more pedestrian note, I really like the 100% cotton pjs I got from Macyâs. Theyâre much nicer than the ones I saw at Target tonight and both were just $20! My pair even has nice red piping on the shirt.
Also was able to return a very nice but unneeded Christmas Gift Bag of pastries to Samâs and buy artichokes, oranges and mushrooms insteadâhealthier than all that sugar.
Great Courses, offering half price $10 month for quarter, plus free 14 trail, accesss to their online courses. Seems like a good dealâŠso little time, so many interesting topics.
I got 2 cashmere scarves for $24.98 each the other day and now there is an additional $10 off. Oh well- not gonna deal with trying to get a price adjustment at this time of year!
My kind of sale @BunsenBurner - thatâs awesome!!
@BunsenBurner my H sent me that sale and I immediately thought of you. We didnât book anything but I probably should have looked into a Hawaii trip. My H is a snowboarder and he has a few trips booked in that time window so I thought it would be too much.
A few days ago we decided it was high time we got a Christmas tree. The local nursery wanted $89 for an 8â tree so I called one of the local tree farms, where we got a beautiful 12â tree for $40.
I had to saw it myself, but it was quick, easy, and well worth it.
@BunsenBurner that Alaska sale was a great deal! I had a brief love affair with Alaska that lasted two years. They had the perfect nonstop flight to/from BWI-San Diego that D1 used to get back and forth to school, and it was very reasonably priced. I flew them several times when visiting her and much preferred Alaska to SW - more leg room, assigned seats and the timing of the flight was perfect. Then this summer, they canceled the route and made it âseasonalâ so now itâs not available for her at all. The only (indirect) flights now require overnight layovers in Seattle or SF - um, yeah, not! Back to SW, which isnât terrible, but nonstop flight times donât work as well.
I still get the Alaska emails so was annoyed when I saw that great deal. D1 and I are flying to San Diego in January but havenât bought tix yet so wouldâve been nice to take advantage of.
@sherpa - great deal!! We got our tree at the farm store at Flower World. They were getting rid of trees and were selling them 30% off. Was about $40 for that 6-7 footer. I would love to know the name of the farm⊠PM please? We would have loved to dig up our tree. Lol. We have a Root Slayer! But cutting one would have been fine. We have the toolz.
I still canât believe the deal we got with that Alaska sale! I wish we had more travel time!
@BunsenBurner - $40 for any tree on the lot. Some were 20â plus. I sent you a PM w/ the name, address, and #.
The other night I was at a store that announced $5 for any tree (trying to clear them out). We werenât tempted to even peek. Sadly we do best with scent-free fake trees.
@BunsenBurner, how did you get upgraded to First Class on Alaska Air? You got a GREAT deal!. I have a free companion on SWA so I didnât bite because we canât add any travel to the calendar over the next few months. SWA does discount its Hawaii fares periodically so I hope to watch for sales down the road.
@jym626, whoâs selling cashmere scarves for $15?? And maybe you could send an email to CS if they have one to get the $20 adjustment?
The scarves were $5 less than what Iâd paid (I bought 2 of them). Total savings would have been $10, not $20. Sorry if that was unclear.
âŠI wonder f the selection among the scarves was the same.
Yes the ad was for the same scarves. Also on their website.
@collage1 - Mr. and I are both Alaska MVPs so certain fares can be upgraded on the spot. I picked the dates strategically.
Just bought an adorable newborn outfit at Macyâs, along with 5 little girl/infant headbands. Price for all the items was supposed to be $72 but I paid under $18! D looked them over and approved. Also bought newborn diapers and the next size, both also on sale. Niece is having baby any day and my SisIL and I are throwing her a shower at brother & SIL home, catering food, for Sunday 11/29, before S and other kids head back to different destinations.
D and I reached our local mall by 8am. Stood in line to enter LUSH cosmetics for their 50% off Boxing Day sale. (must have been 25 people ahead of us) People bought baskets loaded with bath bombs but D came out with some nice things. Bought a nice gift wrap from Papyrus. Out of the mall by 9am.
Went to Target and all the Christmas decorations had been removed and most of the holiday racks were empty. They were putting up Valentines Day stuff up.
