If you like flat rate boxes remember to check your zip codes to see if you can use flat rate regional, for me that saves a few bucks on the large size box. They are a specifically coded box (tiny bit smaller) that you have to get from USPS.com and it takes a little navigation on click n ship. Weight limit weight ins 20 pounds for large size.
I packed in the large flat rate box. Included was a tweed hat from my dad (son’s GF), their valentine gift (serving bowl that looks like a cabbage). That Harris tweed jacket was almost 4#!!! No complaints. I’m just a happy camper that they think of me for costumes and such.
May I add, even though it doesn’t quite fit on this thread, that I’m delighted my son married someone with such good social skills. While others could see son as nerdy and introverted, he loves being with friends. He’s thrilled to dress as Prof Plum and create the atmosphere and the back stories for the dozen guests.

Sometimes “sales” are not as good as they are promoted to be. I bought an iPad on Black Friday weekend for under $300–very happy!

Nope, mailed two padded flat rate envelopes last week for $8 each, HI to CA. The envelopes were available to pick up and fill at no cost.
I bit the bullet and ordered the Shark robot self emptying vacuum. Amazon has it down to $449 so I called Bed Bath and Beyond and they price matched it. BB&B has a spend $400 get $100 BB&B bucks deal going through 1/31 and this qualifies even with the price match where their 20% off coupons don’t, since I have other things I need to order from BB&B the robot vacuum was effectively $349
DH gets a new tech toy and I might keep up with the dog blowing his coat!

So hopefully this is a good deal. I returned the ski jacket with the wonky 2 way zipper and ordered a different one from a different site, where I got 20% off with the military (also for students, teachers, government employees and first responders- its called ID.me - its a helpful discount site) - though it turns out the first order with the store I ordered from is also 20% off. I also used mrrebates so should get an additional 10% back, with the total cost (after I get the rebate) about 60% of what the first (returned) jacket cost. Hope it fits and hope I like it. The woman I chatted with online at the website says it comes with a bottle opener!! Not sure I need that in a ski jacket!
@jym626 - Forty years ago we just buried our cans of beer in the snow in a “secret” place where we ate lunch later in the day. We didn’t need a bottle opener since we had cans!
@jym626 That is funny! My husband purchased new Reef sandals that have a bottle opener built into the footbed. While not a feature he wanted or needed, he had a gift card to burn, so went ahead with the purchase!

I’ve been looking for a new pair of grey work shoes (low heel to wear with dresses) and have not had luck. I then got a $10 off coupon from DSW and saw a pair on line that might work (they arent available in the nearby store) so ordered them several days ago. I can return them to the nearby store if they don’t work. They seem to be meandering their way very slowly to my home. Today I noticed that DSW is offering a free backpack with a purchase or online order. I emailed them and they are sending me the backpack as well as the shoes.
