Saturday is half price day at out ARC thrift (for 4 of the 5 tag “colors”). I bought a grey Cuddle Duds top, a grey Columbia fleece jacket (with 3 pockets) and a black fleeces … grand total with tax - $9.77. Not sure I will keep them all long term, but it’s a fun way for me to shop and try things.
Note - Last month the lady in front of me had a cart of sweaters. She said it is hard to find real wool, so she was buying the for craft projects. I can’t picture the details, but she did get them cheap.
How are those sheets? Comfortable? It seems like I always think I’m buying something great and several washes later they are scratchy even though they have a high thread count
@BunsenBurner - thanks for the info. My favorite sheets for our split king are some from Bloomingdales (no Macy’s equivalent), and I choke on the price every time I look to replace them - no sets, all individual sheets.
We have Kirkland Signature sheets on the bed in our weekend place that are pretty nice, so I’ll have to try some out for the bed at home. For $80 or $100 a set, I can check them out and return if they have issues. I do wish they had off-white, though.
Too late to edit my post, so here is the other stuff that did not make it in.
No split king in Costco stores, just regular king and queen. Last time I bought a set in a store, the sheets were sold out in a week.
I personally love these sheets. They are substantial. Not flimsy, see through material that becomes too soft too soon. I have washed my previous set many times over, and they still feel nice. What I like about our big king fitted sheet is that it has small tags saying which side is top/bottom.
The Macy’s near work has a Macy’s Backstage. It’s like a mini TJ Maxx. I found a dress for $0.95! Didn’t even bother to try it on at the price. Gotten lots of compliments on it. Other great deal, found a pair of Cole Haan never worn loafers for $2 at the local charity thrift store.
I just learned you can order sparkle paper towels directly from https://www.sparkletowels.com/ with free shipping and no minimum purchase.
8 double roll pack pic-a-size, modern white $8.75
When you use coupon code: SPG10 for 10% off or code: WELCOME19 10% off for new sign up it makes them cheaper than walmart.com and no minimum for free shipping! Coupon codes can only be used once per person.
@Singersmom07 those are so fun! - did you buy them through the link you posted? I don’t see a price listed there. And was the coupon code through DSW? I know I got something at home the other day…
I ordered a fleece jacket from Patagonia, half price, during their recent sale. Free shipping over $75, the jacket was 74.50. The shipping was going to be $11, so I threw in the cheapest item, a pair of underwear for $12.
It took forever for them to ship the jacket, no underwear. They were going to ship them separately from a store.
I got an email, the underwear is out of stock they can’t fulfill the order. But they offered me a 50% off coupon code off anything, sale included with free shipping. So I think I’m going to order a jacket that’s 50% off for an additional 50% off, with free shipping!
Pretty good deal for something I threw in for the free shipping.
