For anyone who uses Clinique products, not sure if it is newish or just new to me, but Clinique has it’s own website selling directly to customers. I need to reorder some soap and it was much cheaper ordering directly than from anywhere else and free shipping even though the item was under $15.
Plus, there is a sale right now:
Last Chance. Get 30% off any order! Code SUMMER30. Plus, spend $75, pick your favorite full size. Spend $100, add a premium full size. Offer valid 6/6-6/16, some exclusions apply. While supplies last.
For Nordstrom fans, with a little help from my friend Google, I discovered that the Anniversary sale has been moved back to mid-August. This makes sense since they are likely experiencing some inventory delivery delays due to COVID19. Best part is that they are going to allow full preview of sale a week before it starts for top tier customers so that people can save things to their favorites in lieu of the print catalog. This works SO much better for me as I have been shut out of items in the past while I continued to shop on day 1 of sale for ordinary cardmembers.
On the other side of the coin, I don’t really need to buy much as I am getting pretty close to retirement and don’t need to replenish work wardrobe. There will likely be some good buys for granddaughters, though.
My good buy of the weekend: large resin planters for $10 apiece at Costco (clearance price). I bought one of them back pre-Covid for $40 or so. Now I have 4.
@2VU0609, I just found out today when the Anniversary sale will take place.
I am somewhat looking forward to it, but like you I am close to retirement so don’t need many clothes these days.
I bought a couple of pairs of shoes right before COVID shutdowns, and I haven’t worn them much at all, so I am relatively set for now.
I will still look, and a thing or two will likely jump into my cart.
American Express has a new promotion for shop small. If you spend at least $10 at an eligible business, you get a $5 credit on your account. The promotion runs until 9/20 and can be used 10 times.
I bought a set of 6 Corelle pasta bowls from Amazon in-line. They were about $20. Received them yesterday but one of the bowls arrived in multiple little pieces. Notified Amazon—received prompt apology and promise to send another 6 bowls, asking us to just keep the 5 we received. If we received the next batch intact, we will have 11 bowls instead of the 6 we ordered, with the price per bowl nearly halved. The rest of the items arrived as ordered—consolidating 4 orders into one shipment.
Not sure this can be replicated…but our Sur L Table is closing. I went in yesterday and got a 5.5 quart Staub cast iron enamel Dutch oven for $194. Normally $329.
Since my DD took her Le Crueset, I needed one to bake my no knead bread!
If you are going to Sur La Table that is closing…go very soon. Ours is only open 5 or 6 more days. It’s pretty picked over. I was thrilled to find the Staub I found. It was the only one left in that size.
If you like Chacos footwear they are doing a “garage sale” this week highlighting a different shoe style each day (but the previous week highlighted styles stay if available). If you enter a special code (found on their Instagram feed but usually the style of shoe) you’ll get further discounts. Tuesday’s flip flop deal was $39, yesterday’s Odyssey (open back, closed toe) was $49. https://www.chacos.com/US/en/summer-garage-sale/
