Stein Mart is closing. So I picked up an outfit for GD an 2 for impending GS. One outfit is Tahari, one is Nautica and one is Nanette kids (not familiar with that brand previously, but the outfit is cute). Total cost : $18:87.
Does anyone frequent Panera? I usually do not, but we have a Panera cafe on our hospital campus (where I work) . I stopped yesterday to get a bowl of soup and saw they have an offer (thru Sept. 30 I believe) for their coffee subscription program.
First month free, then each month $8.99 for unlimited coffee, iced coffee or tea (no specialty drinks or flavorings). You are allowed free refills every 2 hours.
Iām only at work a couple days a week now but gosh this might be worth a try even if I used it 2 days a week. Right now I tote my morning coffee from home. Definitely a little splurge to get this (you can cancel at anytime) but maybe worth a try.
You have to have a Panera account/rewards card.

@abasket - H signed up for that deal back in July. Heās been enjoying free coffee all summer. And they extended it for another month for him. He absolutely loves it - I think heās getting addicted! And yes, theyāve given him more than one free coffee a day - the folks at the panera near our house know him very well now!
Donāt know if heāll continue once his free offer stops thoughā¦
Havenāt been in stores much, online shopping when I needed something. I had a $10 Soma birthday coupon. I didnāt need anything so I wasnāt going to buy something just to pay for shipping. There is a Soma outlet a little over an hour away. We happened to be in the area and stopped. It was one of those $1.99 panty sales and the coupon was good. I got 6 pairs for under $2. Score!
If you are an Amazon Prime member and you spend at least $10 at Whole Foods right now, they will give you a $10 credit to spend on Amazon Prime days in October.
^^^ which have been announced to be Oct 13-14!!!
Do most folks have a amazon prime account? My son had a student account that Iāve used too in the past. Thinking of getting one ourselves now - whatās the best deal? Is this still worth it even if they are not sticking to two day delivery times?
For me, 90+% of the time the 2 day shipping happens. If youāre in a bigger city you might even get a fair amount of 1 day shipping. It was only during the first couple months of COVID that I sometimes had a day or two added to my ā2 day deliveryā.
I loved it before COVID and I appreciate it now. You can add on another user (like a family member) and then perhaps split the cost of the membership if that is helpful with costs.
You can always try it for a year and dump it if you donāt use/like it. (donāt know if they have other less than a year offers). If you do just be sure that you mentally make a point to check/use it and itās benefits (the prime tv or music or whatever) - thatās when you really learn if itās worth the membership fee.
Our shipping (especially with covid) tends to be much longer than 2days, but with Prime at least itās āfree.ā We have finally been watching some movies and TV shows to entertain mom during covid. For us we have found the āfreeā postage worth it and the video freebies a nice extra.
Amazon had a new store or brand or department called Stone and Beam, I think. Household furnishings.
^^ I did not know this!
Amazon actually launched 2 furniture brands last year. The other one is called Rivet. My daughter just got a couch from Rivet and is very happy with it.
About a month ago, I was messaging with a now retired colleague and she said she was feeling like a million dollars after getting a new pair of Vionics. I had never heard of them and didnāt even know they were shoes until I googled. Having had a few issues with foot pain, including achilles tendinitis, over the last 18 months, I started investigating. I found a pair on sale at Nordstrom and they arrived on Monday. Took a short walk in them yesterday and decided Iād be a fool if I didnāt get a second pair in a different color. Found them on sale for a slightly lesser discount at Amazon. My feet are happy for the first time in awhile.
Which model/style did you get?
@2VU0609 my sister had plantar fasciitis and swore by vionics!
@jym626 , I got the Vionic Roza sneakers.
Just ordered the Vionic Roza sneakers from Nordstrom. On sale, lower price than Amazon.
Iāve been wearing Vionic slippers for maybe two years and love them. I wear them all the time at home so am on my third pair. https://www.vionicshoes.com/relax-slipper.html
If you want to cancel early, they will prorate a refund.
Iām glad avionics work for folks. Had heard great things about them and purchased a pair (full high price). They hurt my feet. I put them aside and tried them again and they still hurt my feet. Gave them to my nieceāhurt her feet too, so she donated them. I decided theyāre just not right fo my feet.
I do well with SAS most of the timeātheir walking shoes especially.
