I got one of the Bed Bath and Beyond coupons for 20%off the ENTIRE purchase (hit the jackpot). Got myself a Homedics Digital scale…originally $50, marked down to $25, on clearance for $10 because there was no box…out the door for $8.48.

Also bought a wedding present…8 place settings of everyday dinnerware, and twelve appetizer plates…got all for 20% off…on a “normal day” I would have needed 10 more coupons. I saved a LOT on that wedding gift.

I am thrilled! I just bought Tramontina tri-ply on clearance at my local Walmart. I got a 12 inch saute pan, two 10 inch saute pans with lids that I think originally fit the 5 quart casseroles, and two 2 quart saucepans with lids. My score only cost me $85.00!! My early birthday present to myself :).

I found the 12 inch saute pan on Friday and the other pieces when I went shopping today. Maybe I’ll get really lucky and find the 3 quart sacepan and the 12 inch jumbo cooker I’m coveting on my next visit. Crossing fingers, toes, eyes,…

Just bought a $25 gift certificate for $2 on Restaurant.com. Minimum purchase at the restaurant is $35. They add 18% gratuity and tax, so the $25 comes off of all that. Still an amazing deal. Used an 80% off promo code.

Basically, dinner is on Jym626, who shared this information on here a while back. :)

Here’s a good one-
I had a $25 free gift card from a nice upscale group of restaurants. Invited a couple to go with us and made reservations. Long story-- in small print it mentioned that the particular restaurant we selected was not part of this deal. BUT it turns out that our friend, a real estate agent, had just written a contract for a condo (gorgeous one!) in the building, so he left a $50 thank you giftcard in the lobby for us!!

So tonight we are taking our DS out to dinner with the $25 gift card. Selected a different restaurant from the group, obviously :)

I don’t know if someone had mentioned this one already- Michael Kors wool peacoat 49.99 in costco. ( black , charcoal , navy - all sizes). I saw the same one for 300-350 in one of the dept stores.

My Costco had 2 left last week, both XL! I grab one thinking what a great buy; saw the size and looked under everything on the table hoping there was a medium somewhere, but no luck :-(

Went shopping at Kohl’s yesterday for jeans for S2 (college jr. home for fall break). Found two pr. originally $65 and $58 on clearance for $6.50 and $5.80…and he actually liked them! He’s out with friends tonight and wearing a pr. of the new jeans…yah!

Our local costco has all sizes, I think they just got the shipment - my mom got one in medium , myself a small .I hope this one (as well as heavy long wool coat ) will help me with northeast weather .

Our Costco often has clothes I like but then will have massive quantities of large sizes and I have to really dig to find a small. I really, really wish they would pile them by size. I got a vintage pea coat last year at a second hand sale for $8.00!

Local Nordstrom Rack had a good selection of wrinkle-free Nordstrom Smartcare shirts in slimmer cut in really nice colors for $30 apiece. DH is all set up for his upcoming business trips! These shirts travel so well that they can be taken out of a garment bag or a shirt envelope and worn without any touch up ironing.

I just made a Costco run & got pjs - ellen tracy- but I looked at the pea coats and not only did they not have any smalls ( only one medium), I don’t think they were styled very well- I saw a couple people try them on, and they seemed to fit poorly across the back- unfortunately the same thing with the mens lambskin coats, although I have been looking for one for H, he doesn’t have a warmish nice looking jacket- only his Patagonia, which is about 17 years old ( I only remember, because I did the matchy thing of getting the D’s jackets the same color as well :o ), and Carhartt type stuff.
Works Ok when we are going to the Tractor though.

If I lose 7lbs I can wear my Ds wool jacket she got at the Gap a couple years ago- ( they are pretty fitted- I wore it last fall but I think I have gained a few lbs with all the beer/ice cream this summer) I have another pea coat that I ordered from Lands End for D1 about 7 years ago- but even though it was the smallest size, it is very boxy and way too big for her, so I wear it to do snow tracking with a sweater underneath.
It is pretty nice & I like that you can find them in colors- I get tired of navy/black/grey and with our dark winters, I don’t think it is very safe. However, if it snows as much as they say it is going to, it might be good enough

I really don’t know what else I bought- but I spent $250!

( oh yeah- vitamins and dried fruit), they had been out of the gummy Vitamin C things and both H & D2 had been asking for them - the girls also bake a lot so I bought several bags of dried fruit planning on dividing it up.

wow, I forced myself to go for an ‘annual’ physical today (my last annual physical was two years ago)…and was shocked but not surprised to see I had put on way more than 7 lbs.

No more chocolate covered Costco almonds for me, wah.

BB…Oh I wish there was a Nordstrom Rack near here. My DH is a slim cut and also travels on business. Your good buy would have been a great find for him. It’s SO hard to find slim cut anything these days.

Trip to Goodwill got S2 two Izod shirts,a RL Polo, a brand new plaid shirt fr. originally from Kohl’s, a pr. of Gap jeans and the thing he is most excited about…a Black and Decker electric frying pan (funny how their perspectives on things change when they are living off campus and having to feed themselves).
Got it all for $28.

We don’t have Costco near us either:( Even the nearest Sam’s Club is about 15 miles away through horrible traffic.

I got a really cute down-filled jacket today from Eddie Bauer for $62. Everything in their store is 30% off today and I’ve been wanting a light weight jacket with some warmth. It’s not for a Michigan winter, but perfect for Texas! And it looks very similar to the Burberry jackets that sell for $395.

I’ve got two products to recommend, now that it’s getting a little chilly. Here in New England, we keep the house a little on the cool side in the fall and winter and these are the perfect comfy warm lounge around the house items.

Both are made with 100% polyester - polartec-type fleece. Not the heavier weights that are typically found in fleece vests or pullovers. This is the 100g weight, very light, and thin. I first discovered it on an old Columbia fleece long-sleeve t-shirt that got softer and softer the more I wore it. Super warm, but completely breathable so you don’t over heat. I’ve hunted for more like it, without spending an arm an a leg.

Here are lightweight fleece pants for $19.99. They are cut like classic sweat pants: elastic waist and cuffs. Zippered legs to take them off or on over boots. Two side pockets and a zipper pocket for a wallet on the right hip. They run a little big and don’t srhink. I bought MEDIUM when I wear a LARGE in most sweatpants. Definitely go down a size. Also available for women:

And, a matching lightweight fleece crew neck sweatshirt at LL Bean. These can be worn as a sweater over a shirt or, I just wear 'em as a shirt on cool days. Convenient zipper pocket for an iPod:

Also available in a quarter-zip mock turtleneck version.

I’ve been wearing this stuff lounging around the house at night, with the thermostat set at 65. Toasty and comfortable as heck. Should also be good for walking outdoors, when it gets a little cooler – say down in the 40s. The more you wash it, the better it gets.

Believe it or not…the “slim cuts” at Kohls are still too “wide” for both my husband and my son. They are true “old” European cut bodies…not easy to find here. If they get the neck that fits (son is 15, husband is 15 1/2) the arms are what is too big…armholes are too low and sleeves are too wide.

Back to the “good buys”…we love Campmor. If they have your order in stock, we receive it here within 2 days and that’s with their standard shipping. They also have a good return policy (not hard to make returns).
