Our dog has a thing for ladies’ undergarments! He steals them & takes them into his crate & chews on them! I found myself down to a limited inventory & hate to drive around looking, wasting gas etc… Found exactly what I wanted on Freshpair Website & no shipping, no handling & quite a savings too! I googled that make & model number which led me to Freshpair. I will definitely keep these in a drawer or shut up in my closet… He has never cared for shoes or slippers!

SLUMOM, LOL, that is so cute!

I don’t know if it was necessarily a good buy ($18), but the best thing I’ve bought in a long while was a HEADLAMP. It’s perfect for late night walks with our new puppy. How nice while juggling a leash, pooper scooper, and sometimes an umbrella (yes, I could wear a raincoat, but that would be too easy), to not have to hold a flashlight as well. The only bad thing is that moths are attracted to your face because of the light
Otherwise, it’s been great. I’ve even used it for vacuuming under a giant creepy old cabinet, and grilling after dark. I probably look like an idiot, but it’s worth it.

Today’s Groupon for Fairfield County and Philadelphia is $20 for $40 Worth of Gourmet Gift Baskets and More from igourmet.com. I’ve already purchased 2!

archiemom, do you know if you spend a groupon for igourmet today, and igourmet offers this deal again in a couple of weeks, can you purchase a new groupon for yourself and use it a second time?

If anyone else is interested in these, check on ebay, you can find led headlamps for $5-$10 including shipping.

northeastmom: I really don’t know. I was able to purchase one from each location today. Hmmm, hope I can redeem them both (at separate times). I’m planning to use at least one of them to send an order to someone else as a gift. Over time, I have seen a number of internet site offers come up in multiple locations, so I’m guessing that one would not be restricted to just one offer for all time.

Season One of Modern Family for $20 on Amazon. It’ll be a chanukah present for one of the D’s.

Bummed to learn that I missed a Today Show deal for a Wii game I wanted–it was going to be $17 shipped, versus the usual $38 on Amazon. Drat.

Well the Today show deals were pretty frustrating. I have tried to order from the Robyn Rhodes site but it won’t let you log on. That is such a good deal for her jewerly that I will keep trying. I was able to buy the 3 piece Living Proof shampoo/conditioner/volumizer for just $5, it cost as much to ship. It retails for $72 so it’s a deal that I couldn’t pass up. I read that Talbots sold out of 10,000 of their cashmere sweaters in less than an hour today. Looks like everybody is looking for a good buy.

irishmary203, I haven’t looked at the Today site in a few hours, but earlier in the day, they were saying you could email about the jewelry and they would respond.

Snapfish has a limited deal (the first 1000 ordered) today on their collegiate photo blankets - 50% off - looks like you can get one for under $30. They say they have 50 college choices - my kids colleges are too small, but thought it could be a great gift for a current or recent grad of a college - looks like you can put photos on it.

Finally getting DH a new car (his was totaled last Dec so he’s been driving DS’s car). Getting last years model (2010) off the lot, as the new models are in. Getting $1750 under invoice, plus a $750 military rebate. Cost-wise, its sort of equivalent to getting them to remove all their junk/doc/advertising/delivery fees and paying straight invoice.

Yes I know its cheaper to get a used car, but this particular model was new last year, so there are no older models than the 2010. Yes, I know they say its not the greatest idea to get the first year’s model of a car, but its what DH wanted, and this deal is a lot less expensive than getting a 2011. Is this a “bargain”? Car buying never leaves one feeling like they got a “bargain”. And they always make their profit. Its not cheap, and everyone always feels like they are getting ripped off by car dealers, But it seems like a reasonable deal (its like $7,500k under MSRP, but MSRP numbers are a joke). SO DH will finally have a car, and he’s a happy camper!

abasket, I just looked at snapfish and just see that the collegiate blankets are $54.99. Did you have a code or perhaps I looked in the wrong place? Hard to believe 1000 went already!

I just went back to my email about it and when I clicked the link it said,

“Wow, THAT WAS FAST! Our 50% off Collegiate blankets is now over!” - so I guess they DID have over 1000 orders placed!

Sorry!

Horchow dot com has an great sale going on right now! Great buys on towels (you can even get a free monogram). Also can get free shipping and an additional 20% off the sale price using codes. Codes are FALLFS and WELCOME. I think this is a 4 day sale and I think it is amazing!

D2 went shopping at the mall yesterday with H (he’s such a good Dad!) and got one of the longer chunky sweaters at Eddie Bauer for $20. The original price was $69. I think she was able to get it for 40% off the marked down price. She also talked H into a nice plaid shirt on sale at Lucky Brands marked down from $59 to $29.

Banana Republic/GAP/Old Navy, Restoration Hardware, and Lands End are all having their Friends and Family sales this week. Happy shopping.

St. Louis has a deal for $25 off $50 of merchandise from any Coldwater Creek store or online purchase. I know there are a lot of Coldwater Creek fans on these boards! I just made my first Groupon purchase - figure between now and February I’ll find something! (I keep an eye on several cities - St. Louis because my nephew started at WUSTL this year.)

Marilyn, great tip!! I will need to look at that one! It is tempting. I recently bought too Groupons. I don’t want to be tempted to buy too many of these them! Thanks for the heads up!

Okay, I was really tempted by that Groupon, but I did not buy it because DH and I decided to buy new towels using tip 1475 intead. This deal seemed just too good for us to pass up and our tired towels really need to be replaced. I’m happy!
