Wireless earbuds like the ones linked charge in a magnetic case, you charge the case and can take it wherever, use the earbuds and then recharge them, eventually recharging the case too
They charge via a usb. (by disc do you mean like a pad that some people charge their phone?) So they are stored in the case which keeps them charged and has 4 little lighted dots on it so you can see when you need to recharge (when it gets down to one dot). I use them a few hours a week and can go a few weeks without recharging.
@psychmomma re: fit - you know our ears are all different! So I donāt feel like I can advise on fit except that they work for me! They come with different sized rubber ends that you can choose from. There is not anything to wrap around the ear. I can run in them and they donāt fall out but Iām not a speedy runner nor am I whipping my head back and forth!
I am not willing to buy Apple ear wear because they are so expensive and I am worried Iād lose them. But Iāve also learned that cheap earbuds ā¦you get what you paid for!
@somemom yes that is correct!
Never heard of a full refund vs a partial one, but I think itās great customer service. Hope you can find the necessary part(s) online. Maybe with a couple of repair videos you can do the job yourself.
Not really a good buy. but good customer service. We ordered a sofa bed last June, and it arrived around Halloween, three months earlier than estimated. I guess we didnāt look at it closely enough, because we soon realized the two seat cushions differed in size, and the finish at the zipper pull wasnāt finished nicely as the floor sample. They sent new pillow coverings which were ok, and a new seat and seat coverāwhich clearly was a different dye lot. So the ordered is a whole sleeper sofa which will be delivered tomorrow.
Iām having my appliance repair guy come and vacuum our fridge coils and let us know if we can make it last awhile longer. Fridge is currently 12 years old.
@twoinanddone Mine arrived today. The case charges either wirelessly on a charging disc or with an included 12" USB cable.
Not exactly a āgood buyā but worth mentioning. I was pleasantly surprised that I could simply do a direct deposit of our Costco rebate into our bank account - directly from the credit card site - in a couple of easy clicks. I donāt think this option was available last year.
@BunsenBurner - I did not know you could do that for the Costco rebate. I will definitely do that next year.
@showmom858 I had no idea either until I logged into my Costco visa account and saw this. I already have my bank account linked to pay the Visa bills, so I just tried to do the deposit. The money arrived the next day! They said 3-5 business days and sent a confirmation email.
I just saw that option in a recent email. I havenāt done it yet but Iām considering it. My hesitation is that I like to reserve that rebate for travel and if I put it in checking Iāll just randomly use it. Not that it matters as in reality itās all the same.
Speaking of Costco, is anyone having issues checking out with online purchases? I have tried clicking the green checkout button. Initially, every time I clicked it the order would triple as it multiplied the items in my cart. Then it started telling me nothing was available for two day shipping to my ZIP code, and now it wonāt even let me go beyond the cart. Every click of the green button takes me right back to the cart.
Iāve tried this yesterday and today, using different browsers and even different machines, so I donāt think itās cache or anything. Iāll try chatting them tomorrow.
I do the same. My Costco rebate is always my travel āmad moneyā. :). Or actually this year, covered 1.5 airline tickets!
Nabbed a car rental via Costco & major rental agency, intermediate level, for a September 5-day mini-trip for $26/day. Felt like I won the lottery . It was $65/day if I added two days at either front or back end. (Usually rentals are cheaper by the week). I have an event, so the weekend was fixed, but the pick up and drop off was flexible. It helps to play around with specific dates and even times of day.
Iām not a Rothyās person cause I donāt do flats but if you fit any Of these categories (K-12 teacher, emergency responders, certain health care professionals) they are doing 40%
Off this week.
Thank you for the Rothys tip!
So I ordered a plain pair of beige sneaks. We will see.
Not sure if this counts as a good buy but yesterday I was at Valvoline for an oil change (with $20 of coupons). The guy opened my glove compartment to check my cabin air filter. Wait, I thought, I have a cabin air filter? Surprise to me!
He showed me it was dirty and offered a replacement at $60 - less 10%. What!? Hmm, I thought, that looks easy. So I said no thanks, went home, ordered a premium filter on Amazon for $13, it arrived today, found a YouTube on the process, and replaced it myself. It was easy squeezy - literally. No big deal but I was quite proud!
I did let them rip me off for a new engine air filter for $35, which I know was vastly overpriced, but I donāt do engines LOL.
I have always loved this thread and enjoy seeing the āgood buysā - I admit I think I do much less shopping overall - or browsing that would lead me to āfindā a good buy!
Thank you for sharing this! I mentioned it to my H and he immediately went to YouTube and chuckled. He then ordered a cabin car filter to replace his this weekend. And so easy!! (A couple years ago our dealership wanted $160 to change out my Tahoe cabin air filter. I told them weād wait!)
Macyās FF sale is on! 30% of housewares. A nice Scanpan is on the way to our house.
