Your opinion on Bryn Mawr economics

I am very interested in attending Bryn Mawr and am interesting in majoring in economics. How is their econ department? Can i also take classes at nearby haverford, swathmore, or UPenn? (Preferably UPenn or Swathmore because i hear their economics department is quite good). What is your opinion? :)
Also, I read on a forum somewhere that Bryn Mawr students can't take econ classes at UPenn is this true?

Hi Katc36,

I would encourage you to look at the department website to learn more about professors and courses offered: [Bryn Mawr College: economics](Economics | Bryn Mawr College) You could do the same with Haverford, Swarthmore, and UPenn since, as you mentioned, we are in a consortium and can take courses at any of these colleges.

Even though Bryn Mawr has an Econ department, you could elect to major at Haverford if you preferred their department as all majors are open to students at either college. Bryn Mawr also has an investment club for students interested in going into finance or business.
