ROFLLMFAO LOL dude you made me spit out my soda...damn you now I have to wipe my screen.

Oh, man. I LOL'd majorly.

What's wrong with you Digimon was the bomb! Lol... seriously though, I recorded the first 70 some episodes of that show on tape and watched it over and over one summer. I remember I cried when one of the shows didn't record and I had a gap in between. Between pokemon and yu-gi-oh i'd definitely go with pokemon since ash actually lost some matches and yu-gi lost 1?

I'd have to go with Pok

Did any of u guys get a pokemon advertisement to the left when u clicked on this thread?

I honestly hate both. However, i hate pokemon less.

Oh come on, you can't say you hate BOTH!! Seriously, who doesn't love Pokemon :]

Pok

i don't care, i still love digimon. Like I said, there ain't no better series out there. at least it is more real than fake ass yugioh which is a crappy japanese anime and pokemon with no character development. Digimon delves into the characters, and the plot is really good. Mind you, only the first two seasons.

pokemon with no character development.

And of course, they were really really trying to make a deep, thought-provoking television show with developed characters to which real people could relate. But they failed completely by only managing to create a solidly entertaining cartoon with undeveloped characters.

woah there I didn't mean any offense I just said I was hysterically LOL'ing... ;)

And this just made me LOL even more. Yeah, digimon isn't a bad series, I neve r said it was. I used to watch it for a while.

^ of course; i meant no offense either... ;)

Digimon kicked way more ass in the earlier seasons than Yu-Gi-Oh did.

I have a 1st edition Charizard worth $150. Pokemans ftw.

Anyway, no one cared about Ash/Misty/Brock/Any variations of those three/character development. We all wanted to SEE THE EFFING POKEMON BATTLE. I mean, the show was called POKEMON not ASH’S ADVENTURES . I used to get so ***ed when they would have an episode where all Brock did was feed Pikachu. GET OFF YO ASS, GO KILL SOME POKEMANS. ALSO, Pikachu never evolved into Raichu. Get the thunderstone and evolve that ****.

Misty was naked multiple times. I can’t comment on the men.

Pokemon had 10 year olds gallivanting without supervision in the woods with the opposite sex, cockfighting with wild animals and with their.

Plus, all the nurses and officers were hott.

//And of course, they were really really trying to make a deep, thought-provoking television show with developed characters to which real people could relate. But they failed completely by only managing to create a solidly entertaining cartoon with undeveloped characters.//

FYI, Pokemon was VERY deep: cartoonoveranalyzations.com;

ahh 4chan lovely.

yugioh doesn’t hold a candle to pokemon in my book.

Lmao! I love how these 90s related shows threads are popping up all of a sudden. For starters, I’m a chick and, yes, I was into both Pokemon and Yugioh when I was growing up (never got into Digimon; In my opinion, I thought it was the ****ed up version of Pokemon. No offense to Digimon fans).

TV Show: I loved the early seasons of Pokemon. I don’t know what the hell kind of Pokemon today’s kids are watching! I thought it was funny and enjoyable. The Pokemon I knew had 151 Pokemon, not the crapload that it has today. Pokemon was never the same after Misty left (and we ALL knew Misty and Ash had a little somethin’ somethin’ going on). Who can forget Brock constantly hitting on Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny and every other chick he saw? I got into Yugioh when I started to grow out of Pokemon. I remember when everyone in my class would talk about Yugioh and bring their trading cards to school. I thought Yugioh was a kick *** show. My friends and I would try to catch it after school on the WB. It had an interesting plot and unique characters (Joey, Tristan, Seto Kaiba, Maximillian Pegasus). I think I watched the show until it was taken off the air. I don’t know what the hell this Yugioh GX crap is.

Verdict: Pokemon wins for the sentimental value and for being a major part in my childhood, but Yugioh wins for being more intriguing.

Trading Cards: I had both Pokemon and Yugioh cards (in fact, I still have them around somewhere…). However, I had more Yugioh cards than Pokemon cards. I thought the Yugioh trading card system was more interesting and exciting (The Black Magician! Wasn’t there a card with a white dragon?).

Verdict: Yugioh wins.

Video Games: Pokemon had better video games than Yugioh ever had. A couple of years ago, around the time that the Yugioh movie was out in theaters, my younger brother bought the PS2 game. Graphics were ok, but it just made playing the card game confusing as hell. I didn’t play many Pokemon games, but from what I can remember, the Pokemon games were more enjoyable. Loved Pokemon Stadium.

Verdict: Pokemon wins.

My Overall Verdict: Pokemon wins.

■■■■■!!! I remember one of my friends years ago had a major crush on Kaiba. She had pictures and drawings of him in her notebook and binder! Hahahaha.

Jesus, I feel like such a nerd, looking back at my childhood obsessions…

i gave my sal speech about pokemon. it was AWESOME.

^^^Awesome! How was the crowd’s response? I’d love to read it! I love it when people make their speeches interesting. The senior class president at my graduation talked about Back to the Future in her speech. It was hilarious.

I never understood the criticism of digimon as a pokemon knockoff. They were very different in the kind of story they were telling, and in their monster designs (especially considering the higher level digimon).
