suzzieq: Are you a freshman? If not, WOW, you must have gone to a pretty good high school to have had the chance to meet all those requirements already! Good luck.

Yeah, suzzieq, if you're a freshman i'm going to cry about my mediocrity . . . just kidding. are you a first year?

dang, slic, are you going for history major or poli sci major? or both? :) Pretty cool.

I had my Telebears II appt today and decided to rearrage a bit from my prev. post:

History 5 ~ 4 units
History 39J ~ 4 units
Music 20a (on waitlist) or EPS 39a ~ both 2 units (I only want to take one of these, depending on whether I move up from 9th on the list)
Physics for Future Presidents ~ 3 units
Theater 24 (Section 1) ~ 1 unit
PE 2: Ballet ~ 0.5 unit

14.5 units

suzzieq is a transfer, I believe... =) (I freaked out too!)

yeah guys, I'm a transfer from a ccc. It's the only way I could've done all those pre reqs, college, and university reqs :) It won't be my first time at Berkeley though. I took a summer class (math 53) 2 years back and had a GSI teaching it. Pretty cool :)

Dang, how is it that you freshman got phase II already? Mine isn't until august 3rd. Unfair.

one thing i honestly don't understand is the difference in difficulty between a lower div and an upper div...whats the deal? upper divs are actually wayyyy smaller, so i kinda think they might be more interesting and easier in some instances, no?

Not necessarily, competition is a lot fierce. By now, most of the students these classes comprise of are major students, who NEED to get the highest GPA possible. Also, they've gone through all the prerequisite courses in that subject + experience with several years of college writing. The chances are stacked against you to do well. Basically, they all have 3x's more experience in a particular subject than you do, plus background information in other relevant topics... 17 units with two upper division classes can be an ultimate GPA killer later down the line... best of luck,

TTG

I was told that because freshmen get screwed in phase I, they get dibs on phase II. that's what I heard anyways.

Well, we get shafted the first time around, and then we get less shafted the second. Is that fair enough? :)

Actually, I got all my classes. No waitlist or anything. What classes did you guys "get shafted" for?

psychology/engineering seminars

Actually, i can't really comlain. One discussion section was at a worse time, but i got everything that i wanted this time. Yay. :D

when do extension kids get their official schedules?

Hey everyone, im going to be taking:
