It's a simple question. How do you guys study for tests/SAT I's & II's? What are your studying habits like?

I know for sure my studying habit sucks. I ALWAYS get distracted by Facebook, tumblr, my phone, and other things. It's so hard not too stay away from them!

I'm just curious because as Junior year comes around, I definitely want to know the 'correct' way of studying.

studying?.. XD loljk i really dont do it much but it seems like everytime i do its completely irrelevant to what im learning, i usually just concentrate in class really hard and memorize the material right there, after that, procrastinated studying commences lol

I don’t study much. I usually just go over vocab words, read through chapters. Unless it’s language vocab. Maybe flashcards? They take effort though.

I am such a procrastinator too but i tend to start my work the night before for hw and three to four days before for projects so i dont totally freak out bout due dates. Plus i set a time everyday for facebook and socializing online so i dont feel totally deprived.

I always make these elaborate study plans, like literally write all over calendars and planners, and for some reason never manage to follow through and end up studying the day before. I’m very easily distracted as well; during AP exam week though, I gave my facebook stuff to a trustworthy friend, he changed the pass and so I couldn’t get in. It’s SO helpful if you’re addicted to facebook like me. I should probably do this again so I can study for the SAT/SAT IIs in July…

I do my best to block out all distractions (Facebook, music, texting, etc) and just focus on the work at hand (homework, test prep, etc). Then after an hour or two, I usually take a half hour break to watch TV, sleep, text, go on FB, etc. It actually works fairly well.

I generally have a photographic memory which means I rarely, if ever study for any classes. Math and science are the exceptions; because I have a high verbal IQ at the expense of a Math one that tends to affect my GPA, hence the necessary studying.
