I didn't see anything about a page limit on the Vassar Yourspace, and I don't believe there is. I just want to ask what people think a reasonable length Yourspace would be. I'm thinking about sending in some poetry, and am aiming for 5-8 (<20 line) poems. Is this a good amount?

On the Vassar Chat, they said "any size, as long as it fits into an envelope or a box" :). I'm sending in pictures, newspaper articles, poems...

I sent in my school's entire news magazine (36 pages). I also sent in a mix tape of my favorite songs w/ explanations. My dad thought this was a bad idea, but I think it's cute. what do you guys think?

^^^
Maybe if it's pottery with something delicious in it! When I attended an info session at Vassar in the fall, the admissions person said someone sent in spaghetti sauce!

I thought Jan. 1 was the deadline. How can you still send in something?

i couldn't really think of something for my your space so i sent in a photograph i took of my neighborhood park. i didn't put an explanation in though, do you think it would be ok to send one now? my dad said since it was a nice artistic picture i didn't have to but...idk. i'm just in a constant state of nerves, i really want to get in.

On the chat, they said YourSpace doesn't really count for admission, it's just a chance for you to express yourself. They said it had absolutely no role to play in admissions. A lot of people don't even send in yourspaces, I asked current students, and some of them didn't send anything (and got in :P)

Don't worry about it at all! The point of Vassar's allowing you to submit art is to let you express yourself freely (notice the word "freely?") They'll love that you can express yourself.
