<p>do nominations to these councils and forums count for anything with adcoms? bascially high schools' administrations nominate a couple of students to attend these each year.</p>
<p>should i mention my nominations? are they worth more than a dime a dozen?</p>
<p>edit: i did some research here on cc, but was only able to find discussions whether the experiences were worth the price, rather than on the worth of listing a NOMINATION.</p>
<p>I don't think I would list a nomination to one of these programs. Though the mailings go to "nominated" students, any student who wants to go can just ask to be nominated. The selection criteria once you apply is simply that you can pay for it. If you DO attend one of the programs, you can list it as a summer educational program and briefly describe what you got out of it, but it really doesn't belong as an "honor."</p>
