Does anyone know if I take the SAT/ACT after graduating (like during the summer before college), can I use the scores from that test to qualify for the Zell Miller scholarship? Right now my SAT scores are too low, so I wanted to try taking the ACT this June to qualify for it.
Can you google the Zell Miller scholarship to see when the last SAT is.
It was EZ to google to get the answer you needed…hmmm
b. Receive a composite scale score of 26 on a single administration of the ACT on a test administration at the time of high school graduation.
They may take the next test coming up in June. Florida allows the June test to count toward Bright Futures because some schools graduate after others, but you do have to apply for BF before YOU actually graduate.
That’s what I was thinking. But I emailed my counselor and he said the latest they’re taking is May, since our graduation date it May.
Thanks for commenting though
The way I am reading the rules on gacollege411.org it appears that you would need to qualify prior to high school graduation. To be certain, you can call 800-505-4732 Monday-Friday 8:30am-5 pm. Or email them with your question at GAcollege411@gsfc.org
If you are the valedictorian or salutatorian of your class, I think they waive the requirement for the SAT score. That is the only loophole I see that might help you.
Oh wow they have an email too? Thanks a bunch!
Check out the website, it has so much info
