1 Bad Grade Senior Year

My current course load is AP Calc AB, AP Env, AP Gov, and AP Lit along with art because its a graduation requirement. Im doing well in every class, I have an A in everything and have gotten all A’s since my sophomore year of HS.

Right now I had a D in AP Calc. I failed the first test and am doing better now, but I’m not sure I will be able to pull it up to a B- before the marking period ends. If I get 1 C+, do well in all my other classes, and explain to the colleges what happened in this class, will it really hamper my admissions decisions? I’ve done really well all of high school and I really hope this doesnt screw me up! I’m trying so hard to bring it up but theres only so much I can do

My gpa is a 4.7, Im top 10%, 30 act, applying to colleges like BU, Fordham, Syracuse for com/business

Thanks for any feedback

I wouldn’t be too worried. Many colleges do not even consider senior year grades, and they are only a means of rescinding admission. I personally did very well senior year and tried to send my grades to colleges, but many did not even want them. Do not be concerned, one bad grade is not the end of the world by any means. Good luck!

Uh, senior year grades are considered after admission. Make sure you get a C or better.
