1 Idiotic Mistake. 1 Major Consequence

Forgot to submit my withdrawal form for Berkeley's Online Extension program. I was only halfway through the course so I received an F. Any suggestions on what to do?

So I think there are some provisions if you get a grade lower than a D and retake the course that either completely remove/replace the grade or keep both with only the better grade being kept.

[General Catalog - Policies - Repetition of Courses](http://catalog.berkeley.edu/policies/repetition.html)

“If you repeat courses in which you received a grade of D+, D, D-, or F, the units are counted only once and only the most recently earned grades and grade points are used for the first 12 units repeated.”

So it seems like the older grade is completely erased, but if you find out otherwise, let us know.

Good luck.

If I recall correctly, the failing or D grade is still kept on the transcript, but it does not affect GPA if you retake the course and you’ve retaken fewer than 12 units.
