Hi, I'm new here and i have some questions about colleges i have been accepted to and how they compare with others.

The schools that accepted me are
Purdue, Michigan, BC, Illinois(in state), USC and Virginia with the last 3 being in EE and so far the last 3 is also the ones I'm probably thinking of attending.

I'm not even sure if I want to be an engineer and just decided to major in that when I had to apply (i might decide on business later on, if engineering gets over my head). I know that Illinois has a great EE program and USC has somewhat decent. But living in Chicago for the past 8 years, I'm not sure if I want to stay in the midwest and I heard the campus isn't all that great at Illinois.

So can anyone please provide me with some information on which colleges I should attend with the pros and cons. I know I am the one deciding where I am going, but I just want some input on these colleges. Your opinions will be greatly appreciated and I will take them into consideration when I decide

I did go on tour for USC and Virginia (not really a tour because they didn't offer one when we went, just visited the campus). USC was really nice inside but I'm skeptical about the neighborhood and it might be a little too far away. Virginia was absolutely gorgeous but I heard the university revolved around the greek life a lot and i don't know if i want to join a frat

UVA has good Business School too.

sry but 1 more question, let say i attend uva, will it be possible for me to get job offers from california after i graduate? Or will going to usc land me more job offers from california

If you will be looking for California job offers USC is your school. If you wanted to live and work in DC, I'd go UVa. If you really aren't certain, I'd join the poster that recommends UMich. You'll likely be fine at any of them, though I will admit to being lukewarm on BC.

Everything is expensive compared to U of I - for you, that is. Don't underestimate Illinois, it's a good school. I understand you wanting to get away, though.

Don't let the neighborhood fool you. USC is like a whole other world outside South LA. Just don't be out at night .. wearing all red or all blue. :S

USC and UVA both have a big greek life. I visited USC the other day. It was very pretty and I didn't think that the surrounding neighborhood was that bad. UVA is beautiful on and off campus. They are very conservative there though.
