$1000 deposit refund?

<p>So the 1000 dollar deposit is due on Monday. My family was going to pay the deposit on Friday, but something came up and we aren't able to until Monday. I have two questions here
1) if I pay it on Monday, would this still guarantee me my housing spot, or does it have to be BEFORE monday?
2) I'm still not 100% sure if I AM going to NYU or not because I'm not sure if I qualify for the loan that I have to take, and I can't see if I qualify for it until I turn 18 later in June. If I end up not getting the loan and I'm not able to go, how much of the deposit will be refunded to me?</p>
